Four Celtmen completed the 200km cycle course in under 6 hours on Saturday. These images were created at Loch a’ Chroisg at about 190 km into the ride as they were thinking of the transition to the run. The course is at best undulating with some tasty climbs and all four averaged over 33.4km for the duration!!

1st image is Jonny Rae with a time of 5:59:13
2nd image is with a time of 5:35:23
3rd image is Iain Veitch with a time of 5:35:00
Final image is race winner with a time of 5:18:43

Helped by a clear visor but the focus in Jonny’s eyes, as a single bead of sweat drips from his nose, captures the essence of this part of Celtman. Head still, shoulders forward over the bars as the athletes push out their unrelenting cadence as they head towards Kinlochewe.

Thought I would include the 400 mm on the finishing line, along with a standard 70-200mm lens to see what I could create.

The last sea-going passenger carrying paddle steamer, PS Waverley, passed by the house this morning on a flat calm Sound of Sleat.

Originally built in 1946 she is now owned by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society and is always a draw when she visits Skye.

Posted • Yesterday saw the final day of the AHA’s Inter Corps Outdoor Hockey tournament with some fantastic battles played out even before the finals. Semi finals, shoot outs and plate final all played.

WOMEN RSIGS v AGC 1-4
A really good match where the final score did not reflect the match. Both teams worked hard to score. Super defending where RSIGS just couldn’t quite make the goals they needed. A great goal scored in the final quarter by RSIGS was not enough to pull back and the win went to AGC. Well done to goals scored by RSIGS Nic George X1 and AGC Hannah Kenyon X3 and AGC Emily Lewis X1 .👍🏑🎉

MEN REME v INF 4-5
What a battle this was. REME went ahead by 2 goals in first Qtr with INF scoring one back in 2nd Qtr REME going ahead 3-1 then with two fast goals INF scored to equalise. REME came back with another goal for the lead 4-3 into the final Qtr. INF came out fighting and scored quickly to 4-4 draw. An exciting last Qtr of this match ended with INF Winning with a penalty in the last 30 seconds to win 4-5 as final score. Well done for the goals scored REME Scott Rawlings X3 Jack Watson X1 and INF Tom Goodwin X3 Ben Cottrell X1 Dan Rhodes X1👍🏑🎉
