Some of you might remember that we took on some feral barn kittens earlier this year. Well sadly one decided it preferred to be feral so ran off. And even more sadly, this now ironic boy called spring had an issue with his back leg. There was nothing that could be done so he's now a three legged cat. We're so pleased that Henrietta hen has hatched some eggs, however there's a little surprise can you spot it?

Henrietta got a bit broody but without a cockrell no chance of hatching chicks, so we put a couple of our fertilised duck eggs under her and she's now hatched ducklings! It's a common trick, one story is of a hen at Low Nest once hatching pheasant chicks!

We headed over to the la'al ratty (Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway) for a trip into this stunning valley with a refreshing pint at the far end followed by an ice cream by the sea at the other.

We made our annual pilgrimage over to the bluebells at (well can you guess where?). It might have been the wet cold spring, but the bluebells were vibrant and the scent was phenomenal.
