Holiday cottage clean today so I thought I’d treat the workers (hubby and myself) to lunch .
Absolutely scrumptious 😋 Highly recommend any of our guests having lunch here whilst staying at the cottage. Only 3 miles away, perfect for a lunch time stroll, cycle 🚲 or maybe a run 🏃‍♀️, refuel and wonder back.

Our wonderful village pub ❤️
So lucky to have this gem less than a mile away from the holiday cottages. Easy to walk to with superb food and the most welcoming friendly staff and owners.

I seem to be on a tour of adorable villages with lovely pubs that I’ve never visited at the moment – and I can’t say I’m complaining.

After a beautiful evening staying at Millstone cottage 1 we ventured to Wells paddle boarding with family and friends. Didn’t quite last until 9pm for Top Gun at Hunstanton 😆 😴.
Set up looked great though and the perfect weather 🍿🎬

The big reveal!
First guests in Millstone 2 today. It’s been a mammoth four weeks, really pleased with how fabulous the house looks.

The stunning bluebells

‘Blickling's Great Wood has existed for many centuries and it's possible that the woodland site has exisited since the first trees started to grow after the Ice Age.’
‘The English bluebell is threatened on a global scale, due to habitat destruction and competition from the Spanish bluebell. A true English bluebell has violet-blue bells on one side of the stem only and is sweet scented, unlike its Spanish counterpart which is not scented and takes a more upright form.’

Exciting news happening at Millstone Cottage in July.

As most of you know we currently live one side and holiday let the other. We will be moving which gives us the opportunity to let out our 4 bedroom property as well as the 2 bedroom property. This will give you the option of renting the entire property (6 bedrooms), Millstone One (2 bedrooms) or Millstone Two (4 bedrooms)!

There are only a few pictures to share as we haven’t moved yet and still need to redecorate

The annual Tulips for Tapping House event should be open in a couple of weeks. Stunning display, five minutes drive from the cottage and for a great cause.

Two weeks at Millstone cottage are now available Friday 3rd - 10th March or Friday 10th - 17th March only £300 per week.

The ground floor consists of a spacious lounge/dining area with comfortable leather sofas, TV/DVD and a wood burner, perfect for those chilly winter evenings (1st bag of logs included). The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. Stairs leading to the first floor and two double bedrooms, the spacious master bedroom is light and airy with gothic style windows over looking views of the countryside. The second bedroom has a double bed with a single bunk above. The family bathroom comprises of bath with shower over, wash hand basin and WC.

In the evening enjoy the stunning sunsets whilst sitting on the decked area with a hot chocolate or something a little stronger😉

What a fabulous Christmas tree 🎄 we have in Harpley.
A dedicated team have been crocheting for the last few months to make this spectacular tree.
At the moment it’s on display at the Alms Houses and will soon me moved to the church.
It’s certainly worth a visit 🎅🏻

Yesterday we went on a beautiful sunny stroll to see The Butterfly 🦋 Meadow at Sandringham Estate.
In aid of Norfolk Hospice Tapping House an installation of 2,500 butterflies is on display in the gardens.
The church ⛪️ is well worth a visit too.
Finished off at Jane’s Coffee Corner, Rudham for a spit of lunch 😋

It was an early start at Millstone Cottage this morning but it was definitely worth it.
Out on the water by 6am enjoy the beauty of the North Norfolk coast 🌊☀️
If you’re stopping with us this summer why not hire a paddle board 🏄‍♀️ or canoe 🛶 and go on one of the many tours that are on offer.
