Things to Do / Places to Visit
We are located directly on the Lune Millennium multi use Bridleway. If you turn right out of the accommodation and go to the end of the car park you can continue on the Coastal path all the way into Lancaster City Centre (approx. 4.5miles). You can then take the coastal path even further and follow it out towards Morecambe or Caton, if you wish. Alternatively, if yo
u come out of the accommodation and go straight over the bridge, you can follow the path to Glasson Dock (approx. 1km).
*Lancaster City Centre
Enjoy a visit to the small historic town centre, with plenty of places to eat or drink, including a wide range of vegan and vegetarian cafes. Other options around Lancaster include a tour of the famous Castle or a visit to Williamson Park.
*Glasson Dock
Glasson dock is a short 15 minute walk, straight down the old railway line, straight across from the holiday let. The Quayside Cafe is worth a visit; they also offer ice creams and have a small convenience store. You can get onto the canal from here and it’s only a short walk along here to the Mill Pub.
*Flower Bowl Entertainment
The flower bowl is about a 20 minute drive away but has a whole range of fun activities for the family and groups. Their website is definitely worth a view; booking is recommended, and activities on offer include crazy golf, crazy pool, cinema, curling, golf simulator, bowling alley, garden centre and a restaurant. www.theflowerbowl.uk
*Wallings Ice Cream
Wallings ice cream is about a 10 minute drive away and probably some of the best ice cream around with the biggest selection or flavours ranging from cream egg to apple pie. Definitely worth a visit on a nice day. www.wallings.co.uk
*Arnside / Silverdale
A small beautiful village about a 30 minute drive up the coast sat on the estuary, overlooked by Arnside Knott (a hill that rises out of the estuary). A brisk walk up Arnside Knott will reward you with some amazing views or a stroll along the front has a brilliant fish & chip shop, pub and a cafe. If you love wildlife then Arnside is a haven for birds, rare butterflies and alpine plants.
*Scorton
A lovely little village with a children’s play area, 2 two brilliant cafes and a pub. There is a short hilly walk (approx. 5km) which will take you up ‘Nicky Nook’ Fell, offering great views at the top. We recommend stopping at the Applestore Café. It has a beautiful garden, great food, and also has a few shops onsite including a hair and beauty spa. The barn at Scorton also does great food and has a small garden centre and ice cream parlour attached.

If you fancy a day trip out to this beautiful National Park, Windermere is a 45minute drive and Keswick is an 80minute drive. Local places to Eat/Drink
