Planning your next holiday? Why not come and experience the Dark Skies Festival in the Yorkshire Dales 10-26th February. There will be loads of activities to keep the kids busy during their 1/2 term break.
Stage 1 will be hosting a Planet Bike Ride and Pizza on the 15th February.
A rocket making activity on the 17th February.
A .lights demo evening on the 19th.
In addition we will have a self led treasure hunt with a prize of £50 voucher running from the 13th. All events are going on our website or the national parks.

EY UP!
Today I’m in the Yorkshire Dales,
Down by Aysgarth Falls,
It’s just like on the TV show,
All Creatures Great & Small,
The sky is dark and overcast,
It’s also started raining,
But still the dales are beautiful,
So you won’t hear me complaining.
At Bridge Cottage I swept a chimney,
It’s beside the River Bain,
It’ll be due again next November,
I’ll be returning once again!

Thanks Mally! Our guests can enjoy snuggling up to the wood burning stove after a lovely walk from our doorstep.

It always amazes me how quiet and peaceful Semerwater is compared to The Lake District. It is a hidden gem. You can find it by taking a circular walk from our doorstep. Fancy a paddle anyone?

Bridge Cottage has a little sister! Checkout Fernlea Mews, our new venture in Richmond.

Fernlea Mews is an historic building, centrally situated in the vibrant Georgian market town of Richmond. Close by are shops, pubs, tea rooms, art galleries, restaurants, a theatre, leisure centre, cinemas, museums, the castle and abbey. You have access to nearby parks, and open countryside with great walks and cycling, the River Swale, and the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Congratulations to The Cornmill Tearooms! Well deserved praise. The cafe is just across the road from Bridge Cottage and is fantastic for breakfasts and lunches...not to mention the cakes and puds!

It's not just a place for walking, the Dales is a restaurant, tearoom, cafe and all-round good food hotspot
