Here at Coed Y Gaer Fawr we would love to welcome more dog training businesses here to hold their own dog training holidays here. The facilities keep improving each year with a new studio/teaching room coming in May 2025.

Love this photo Darryl captured of me at the end of my last Gundog holiday of the season. I was very happy and content and I think you can see that in my expression.

We are now well and truly into muddy season so no more fun on the quad in my fields as they are a bit soggy. My 5 labs are continually shaking their muddy coats over my dining room walls, but you know what? I’m very happy, dogs are loving working 2/3 days a week at the shoot (as am I). I have more time to work on my business not in it and an exciting new project is about to start.

Also have more free time so I have quite a few short breaks away to look forward to over the next month, Durham, Bath and London!

If you need to feel relaxed and content too this place tends to force you into this state 😊.

Just said goodbye to the last Gundog holiday group of 2024! 17 this year and a whopping 64 Gundog holidays since I first moved here in 2020.

Next year we will welcome back many of you with another 17 Gundog holidays shared between myself and Gemma doing the teaching.

I will also be a speaker and hosting the exciting new Dog Trainer Business Retreat in May and hosting 2 charity working tests here are Mid Wales Holidays.

If that wasn’t enough to get my teeth stuck into I also have another exciting new development that should be ready for May. This will allow many more options for renting out this whole venue with a new studio/classroom space.

But for now and until Feb I will have a rest from teaching and work my dogs on the local shoot which is my greatest passion.

The cottages are available all winter if you want to visit this magical place and I’m always happy to offer 1:1 training if I’m not working my dogs.
