Finally we’ve had some gorgeous hot sunshine so it’s been time to get our stretch tent up! It’s great for hiding from summer showers too….. It can seat 150 for a ceremony and lots of people for drinks and canapés. Let’s hope it gets used lots this summer 🤞☀️

Join us on Tuesday 18th June between 2pm and 6pm to raise money for charity by visiting Plas Dinam garden. The wild orchids are in full bloom, as are peonies, clematis and roses galore. Our new Remarkable Tree route is up and running too with a couple of Powys Champions to see and many more interesting trees. Tea and cake )and later Pimms 😉) will be served in the Stables. All money raised will go to the National Garden Scheme.

Summer weekend 2024 available!
Due to a cancellation the weekend of 26th-28th July is up for grabs. Full summer, perfect for a gathering of family and friends, or a last minute intimate wedding (we will help you plan!).
Tennis, wild swimming, bbq’s, walks over the hills, shady glades for reading your book……up to 34, or more if you include glamping tents.

Huge week for the team getting everything clean, shining and ready for our first wedding of the year in the Stables. From pressure washing the horses’ stables to polishing all the light bulbs it was all hands on deck. Some new additions too including new lighting for the bar! Photos soon….

We’ve been quiet on here lately, but we’ve been mourning the death of a man that loved these hill and lived at Plas Dinam for over 50 years, from 1956 to 2011.

Lord David Davies passed away at home on 7th February, aged 83. He moved to Plas Dinam as a teenager when his mother, a widow, made the brave decision to move in with her 2 sons, having inherited it during WWII when her husband and father-in-law died. David looked after Plas Dinam for the rest of his life, making it his family home and bringing up his 4 children there along with his wife B. When they moved out in 2011, he was involved in the set up of the business and highly supportive of the decisions and changes that Eldrydd and Tyson made.

Lord Davies, Dad, was gentle, kind, level headed and wise with a strong moral compass. He gave huge amounts of time and support to charities throughout Wales, including 25 years as Chairman on Welsh National Opera.
A great life well lived.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and fun person to run our onsite bar and work in preparing the grounds and venue for weddings. Great customer service will be your speciality and you will enjoy working in a fast paced environment where you can be yourself and contribute to the success of an award winning wedding venue.
We are a small, close team who look after each other, work well together and are always willing to help.
You will be comfortable running a busy bar on wedding days, able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding our guest expectations and enjoy the variety that comes with the job. Being part of the team with duties including clear down from weddings, lawn mowing, planning, set up of rooms and the bar for upcoming weddings.
April to end October 2024 with view to extend, 2 days 9-5 and 1-2 evenings/week 4pm-1am.
Salary: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week

It’s been such a wild and windy day! The Stables is amazingly sheltered, when you are in there you can be oblivious to the weather outside. At this time of year the horses are very happy to come into their Stables out of the storm.
