UMRAH UPDATE:

We have contacted saudi tourist visa authority directly, and received the following response:

Anyone 12 or over needs to be double vaccinated, and booster if the second dose was over 8 months ago.

Each person 12 and over has to fill in the Muqeem form to prove vaccination dates and status.

Under 12’s do not need to be vaccinated as long as they are accompanied by fully vaccinated adults. They do not need to fill in the Muqeem registration.

PCR is not needed for any age. As long as above conditions are met.

Please note: this is for the *tourist visa only*. Umrah visa rules are different.

NEWS | The annual Hajj for this year 1443/ 2022 will take place with pilgrims from around the world and from within the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will set the revised quota for each country.

Pilgrims from around the world will participate in this year’s Hajj after a period of 2 years

The basic Requirement for pilgrims would be to be ‘Immune’ (Vaccinated against COVID-19)

The zam zam journey…!

Back to the classic canisters that we are used to. Rolled out for the first time yesterday!

May Allah reward our brothers who have been giving out zam zam in bottles or via the back packs which must weigh at least 10-15 litres.

The mataaf is only open for those performing Umrah, with a booking on the eatmarna app.

Entrance for Umrah is currently near Gate number 1, bab Abdul Aziz.

A summary of Madinah :

Tawakalna App on your phone - you can only activate this once in Saudi on a saudi sim. Generally you show the home Screen of the app to enter the masjid and most shopping areas.

Eatmarna App - this is to book slots to visit the rawdah and give salaams in the masjid. The staff can be quite flexible as long as you have tried to book. (This is also the app used to book your Umrah slot and salawaat in Makkah)

They are currently social distancing whilst praying in the masjid, and masks are mandatory throughout the city.

Most of the shops in the local centres are closed, along with most of the local restaurants.

For Jummuah, aim to get into the masjid by 10am, unless you don’t mind going to the roof.

A very peaceful and reflective time to visit the city of our beloved Prophet, salallahu alaihi wa sallam.
