The last few days have been decidedly chilly 🥶 so we are very pleased that the weather forecast for the rest of this week is to get warmer 😍 we will be out and about in the skies of to mark what may be the last ‘summer’ weekend in the City! Today marks the 75th Anniversary of the D’Day landings, we remember those that lost their lives and celebrate the veterans that fought so that we could live in a free world 🖤

The Queen quoted her father, King George VI from a broadcast made at the time of the operation saying the D’Day veterans demonstrated “More than courage and endurance, showing unconquerable resolve”

“The fate of the world depended on their success, many of them would never return, and the heroism, courage and sacrifice of those who lost their lives will never be forgotten” 👑

The large expanse of Greenwich Park is home to many beautiful places to visit, as well as the National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Naval College and Curry Sark, close to the bank of the River Thames, head further in and The Royal Observatory, Flamsteed House and the historic meridian line, can be discovered! Even just a stroll through the park, at all times of the year, can be magical. Well worth a visit and a great day out 🇬🇧 @ Greenwich Park
