I’m @columbus.guatemala.travel Antigua Street Food Tour was an incredible way to explore the vibrant food scene of Antigua! 🇬🇹🌮One of the best parts of travelling is getting to experience the incredible activities and sights that your destination has to offer. @Getyourguide (where I booked this tour) is popular website that offers over 60,000 tours and activities in many destinations around the world. If you’re thinking of just doing a walking tour, opt for a street food walking tour instead as you get the best of both worlds, trying delicious authentic combined with history and culture 👌🏾 I loved this tour so much! I was leaning so much from Esteban (tour guide) that I started taking notes like I was in a history lesson 😂Here’s some interesting things I learnt: 1️⃣ In Guatemala, there are 25 languages with protected status, including Spanish, 22 Mayan languages, and two other indigenous languages–Garífuna and Xinca.2️⃣Based on how Mayan’s dress, you can tell which Mayan language they speak, what job they do, region they are from and what family they are from. 3️⃣ Garifuna are the descendants of an Afro-indigenous population from the Caribbean island of St Vincent who were exiled to the Honduran coast in the eighteenth century and subsequently moved to Belize. They have maintained their unique traditions, such as music, dance and gastronomy, throughout the centuries. Yes Afro- Guatemalans exist and many of them reside in Livingston ✨Would you do this tour in Antigua? 🇬🇹 *sponsored @getyourguide @getyourguidecommunity#getyourguidecommunity #streetfoodtour #thingstodoinGuatemala #thingstodoAntigua #foodwalkingtour #Uktravelblogger #foodandtravelblogger #atasteofguatemala #Atasteoftravel

@theadriahotel is a charming and historical 1870 boutique Victorian townhouse in South Kensington offering a butler service. I stayed here in the summer when I needed to be close to South Kensington for an event and this residence feels a lot like home. I rang the doorbell to enter and was greeted by staff who walked me down the red-carpeted entryway. 👸🏾Whilst I waited to be checked in, I appreciated the beautiful floral scent along the lobby and the glass of prosecco. I was welcomed and enjoyed the gentle jazz music playing in the background. 🎶🥂There are 24 suites with an English countryside feel and refined comfort with each room named after a memorial location in London. Key characteristics of the Wimbledon room I liked were the high floor-to-ceiling spacious rooms, underfloor heating and discrete Marble interior bathroom which looked like a wardrobe before you opened it up.I really enjoyed my stay here! The service made feel like a celebrity lol! If you’re looking for a London staycation or you’re visiting London anytime soon, I highly recommend @theadriahotel *pr invite #londonhotels #wheretostayinlondon #luxuryhotellondon #boutiquehotelsoftheworld #uktravelblog #theadrialondon

Welcome to Sarandë, Albania! 🇦🇱 It’s a coastal city on the Albanian Riviera, in southern Albania known for its stunning natural beauty, Mediterranean climate, and historical significance. ✨My mission on this trip was to relax, unwind and let my mind & body wander and it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised by this Gorgeous underrated city! I mean, look at these views! Albania was giving backdrops 😍✨ It’s my first time in this country and my 3rd exploring a Balkan country in Europe. I will definitely be coming back as this was a short trip! The beaches, food & people were lovely! The weather was also perfect in September! 👌🏾✨The best way to get here is by ferry from Corfu, Greece. It’s best to book your ferry tickets online at least a day before. There are 3 popular ferry companies you can book with which are Finikas Lines, Ionian Seaways & Joy lines. Prices vary depending on cruise company, timing etc. I booked with Ionian Seaways I booked for €40 return tickets. Another thing to note is that there’s a fast ferry which takes about 30 minutes and a longer journey of almost 2 hours to get to Sarande ferry terminal. You can to go through immigration and passport checks like you’ll normally do at an airport so arrive at the terminal early to give you enough time. The journey felt smooth for me and there’s various seating areas. #Travelsmart tip: If you do experience seasickness, take some anti-sickness medication.
