Gorgeous walks and picnic (bought at Ludlow Farm shop) up on brown clee hill, enjoying the autumn sunshine.
Now back to the coach house for tea, crumpets and rugby in front of the first fire of autumn. A perfect Sunday

How’s this for a coffee shop backdrop!
There can’t be too many cafés with stained glass windows as part of the interior design! You can sit indoors or outdoors at Icon Coffee in the beautiful Parish Church of St Laurence, Ludlow and it’s not just the awesome history that makes it top of your ‘Things to see & do in Ludlow”. They also serve fresh coffee from the brilliant Hundred House Coffee , delicious homemade cake, quiches and pastries and whilst the sun’s still shining, tubs of award winning Berry's Luxury Ice Cream
Interesting fact for you:
The stone tracery of this window dates from the remodelling of the church in the second quarter of the 15th century; but the glass is all 19th Century. The figures in the 11 main panels of the West Window are connected with Ludlow’s history. Seven of them were Lords of Ludlow. If you need to find out more, Ludlow Palmers have all the details.

Our hillside breezes and evening swimming in the river Teme has kept us gorgeously cool through the heat. So much to do in the area to keep all the family happy.

We always try to put some fresh flowers from the garden out for our guests during flowering months - but this weekend’s guests are coinciding with peony season.

The bluebells looked and smelt gorgeous in Mortimer forest this morning.
So wonderful to have such a huge area of unspoilt natural beauty 15 minutes drive from the Coach House.

We had a wonderful joint excursion in the weekend sun.
Hampton Court castle (the older Herefordshire version than the palace!) with its glorious grounds, maze and gardens, followed by cider tasting at the new restaurant at Newton court cider. Both less than half an hour away from the Coach House.
