Wiltshire Studios is the brainchild of Martin Smith, who for the past 40 + years has studied the "Science of Sound" and how to create the best acoustic space to capture it. He has built numerous studios and as an engineer has produced countless acts (worldwide) at all levels of the music and film industries. This studio has been 3 years in the making and when you first visit you will see how impor

tant the design is in providing the best acoustical space possible to capture sound at its utmost dynamic. Every space requirement has been considered based on both the needs of the artist to remain in a relaxed and creative mindset throughout. Secondly, to enable the Sound Engineer to achieve the best recording with the least compression, if any. Chill-out areas allow you to relax, commune with nature if you wish, write and create, whichever you desire. Martin Smith and Alex Cockerton- Smith are on hand to assist in ensuring that your experience will be happily remembered for years to come.
85% of the materials used has been recycled.

We have hosted and catered for our first event... a very successful "Craven day." Various historians, authors, curators, conservationists and family members came to share their latest research on the life and times of a local landowning family who once owned Ashdown House, Hamstead Marshall House, Coombe Abbey and Stokesey Castle.
