I love this quirky teapot in Betty’s Byre ☕️ 🫖

It was a sad day in the Easby Grange house last week when Andrea’s 10 cuppa tea pot suffered a fatal wound to the spout 😦 luckily a new one soon arrived 😁 cant go without our Yorkshire Tea

Two parking apps I find useful for our area are Ring GO and PayByPhone . I have these downloaded with vehicle information in ready to use. They are especially useful as they provide up to date information on busy the car parks are . It also means I am not falling for a popular scam which has been happening in a few of the local car parks where a sticker with a false phone number has been used to cover the legitimate number and app information. Enjoy your day out with simple easy parking plans 🚗

Highly recommend Danby Lodge National Park Centre and the Park Life Café at Danby Lodge. Lots to do there including brand new play park, woodland walks, or longer walks, activities and ice creams 🍦☕️🌲🌳🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍♂️‍➡️

Gentle warning when at the beach. We have cute little water shoes for our kiddoes to wear at the beach when having fun. Anything to avoid any upset.
NHS has an online page specifically for sea creature stings with helpful advice. If swimming and paddling on any of our local beaches it would be safest to do so where the life guards are as they can provide first aid for such stings 🐠

It's that time of year again. The summer holidays are here and we don't want to see them spoiled through a lack of local knowledge.

These little critters bury themsleves in the sand and the sting from their dorsal fin, should you stand on one, is a holiday souvenir that you won't forget in a hurry.

It's excruciating!

Wear beach shoes! Especailly if the tide is more than half way out. Weever fish are found on all UK beaches.

Family activity suggestion Air Time Trampoline Park in Skelton-in-Cleveland . Indoor trampoline park with various bookable sessions. We attended this morning (Sunday) Air Tots session which is specifically for under 5s. Free parking, reasonably priced, cafe inside (homemade pizza 🍕 yummy) 20 minutes drive away from the cottages The Play Factory, Skelton-in-Cleveland

☀️ What a good day to go to 🗝️ not a lot of photos taken as we’re having too much fun. Let’s just say the fish and chips were delicious 😋 as per fantastic things to see and do with both interactive and informative exhibitions. Pros- about an hours drive, free parking, dogs allowed- some restrictions- ,lots to do and see even on a busy day the area is so big it doesn’t feel busy (like today) lots of amenities dotted about . It’s just wonderful, can’t really complain
Cons- there aren’t any 😂 it really is just fab

Drip drip drop with the JULY ?!? showers ☔️ get cosy with our log burning stoves and under floor heating. There’s a German saying - no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing - and like on my wedding photos, you can’t see the rain only the smiles 😊 thank you to our guests for this lovely photo of their pooch getting toastie by the fire.

Offering pasteurised milk, various flavours of milkshake, cakes (Head House Bakery), local eggs and potatoes
If in the area or passing on the way to Whitby why not stop by for some delicious local produce.
