If you haven’t taken the boat trip to the Farne Islands before this is a great day out!! We saw so many different birds, including thousands of puffins, we also saw seals and dolphins. Helpful tip, there’s a lot of birds flying overhead, a jacket with a hood is recommended! 😬

Puffins back at the Farne Islands this morning.

We have been out with National Trust workmen this morning and can confirm a small number of Puffins rafting on the water close to the Islands.
Great news as the birds begin to arrive back from their winter migration, the nesting season is fast approaching.

Lone Star Lodge will be taking bookings hopefully this week!! In the meantime, here are some updated pictures. The lodge has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en-suite and one with a full sized bath. The kitchen has a washing machine, full sized fridge freezer and a dishwasher. Outside we have a large deck complete with furniture and a lovely view of the nearby pond. Lone Star Lodge also has free WiFi
