We are super excited to have a wonderful new cafe and bar in the village just a minutes walk from the cottage 😃 The Porthole is open every day from 9am serving hot drinks, cakes and pastries and will be open late at weekends for cocktails and drinks 🍸 I can already confirm the coffee, cheese scones and flapjacks are fabulous 😋

Did you know we have a surf school in Mundesley during the summer holidays? Great for anyone wanting to try surfing or paddle boarding, depending on conditions. Lessons are daily and can be booked on the Glide website 🌊🏄‍♂️

With plenty of surf arriving today and rolling in until early next week we have opened up additional lessons and spaces in Mundesley for this Saturday and Sunday.

The beach huts are back, which means summer is on its way 😃
Just look at those sand levels too, it hasn’t been this high for a very long time. Great news for sandcastle builders!!

The weather is looking great at the moment for Easter weekend, so a great time to climb to the top of Happisburgh Lighthouse and enjoy the view 😃

Happisburgh Lighthouse will be open on Easter Sunday and Monday 🐇

Open on Sunday 17th April from 10am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm) and on Monday 18th April from 10am to 3pm (last admission 2.30pm)

Adults £5, Children £2 (plus booking fee) - Children must be a minimum of 1.15 metres high to climb the tower and must be able to climb unaided. Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the tower.

Fabulous news!

Hello Mundesley

Tomorrow we are going to open the Beach Cafe on the promenade.
It is nowhere near ready but due to the influx of visitors and the pressure being put on other businesses on the seafront we have decided to open with a very basic menu as a takeaway only. This well ensure that people on the beach get fed whilst visiting!

We love the summer season but we are all finding this year particularly tough. Our staff are marvellous and we can’t thank them enough and so are our loyal customers.
Please be patient with us and also with the Beach Hut Cafe, The Village Chippy, The Corner House and The View. Businesses new and old need your support.
Let’s be positive, there’s a reason so many people come to Mundesley and that’s because it’s beautiful!! We are all very lucky to be a part of it.

A trip to the new Suffield Arms didn’t disappoint. Such a lot of time and care has gone in to renovating this once derelict pub, we were very impressed. Excellent choice of cocktails, tapas and pizza. Lots of space both inside and out for walk in tables or reservations for 6 or more. Definitely worth a visit when staying with us.

Such exciting news that we have this fantastic looking restaurant opening soon in Mundesley. Just a short walk from the cottage and somewhere to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with fabulous sea views. We can't wait to to try it out ourselves! We are the proud new owners of The View...Ollie & Carly. We have been refurbishing inside & outside for the last 4 months (as you all know!) & cannot wait to open the doors to you all. Great to see these 2 local legends back on the beach at Mundesley. RNLI lifeguards are back on the beach everyday 10-6pm. Stay safe and swim between the flags and talk to the lifeguards to obtain local knowledge. Have fun, stay fit, stay safe 🌊🏝🏄‍♂️🏊‍♂️
