Welcome to our page and thank you taking the time to have a look. Here is some information on our lodge, the park and local facilities as we are now taking bookings for 2020. We welcome 1-6 guests and Dogs are very welcome but should not be left unattended in the property. We offer a short mid-week or weekend breaks, a full week or longer. We are ideally located in West Wales for walking, cycling, exploring, fishing or just relaxing.
The detached self catering lodge is on 1 level and has three bedrooms, 1 double & 2 twin bedroom sleeping up to 6 people, a Fully Equipped Kitchen including cutlery, kettles. tea towels a cooker, microwave and fridge freezer, a family bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail, a spacious living area with electric wood burner, Widescreen Freeview TV and DVD player, Books and games which leading out onto a enclosed decked area via patio doors and has its own private allocated parking right outside the lodge with more parking available near reception a short walk away. The lodge and park has Wifi and is in a Woodland Setting which is rich in wildlife. There is an Enclosed Dog Walk 50 yards From The Lodge. Pillows and Duvets already provided along with tea, coffee and sugar (and a pint of milk to get you started).Travel Cot & High Chair, Bed Linen /Towels, Bed's Made Up Before Arrival if required (Please let us know when booking your stay if any of theses extras are required & how many dogs will be coming as there is a small charge.)
Penlan is a small holiday lodge park of privately owned Swiss-style holiday lodges, situated in beautiful woodland settings rich in widlife in a triangular peninsula that covers the counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire near the village of Cenarth and its famous Falls. If your ideal holiday home is near our spectacular coast-line or our breathtaking country-side or positioned in a fabulous woodland natural park with great on site facilities. We have the home for you as it is the perfect place to retreat for a quiet break away, or as a base to explore Cardigan Bay and West Wales. Penlan Holiday park is surrounded by 200 year old oak and beech trees, giving cool and dappled wooded glades. The park is a haven of wildlife from rabbits, hedgehogs, squirrels and many birds like woodpeckers and nuthatch are just a few to mention. Salmon fishing at the scenic Cencarth Falls right on the door step as well as pet friendly pubs less than a mile from the park.
Just a few minutesβ drive further on will bring you to the market town of Newcastle Emlyn which has an array of independent shops, pubs, coffee shops and a supermarket. The village of Cenarth itself is famous for its waterfalls, where the River Teifi tumbles dramatically over the rocks and you may catch the amazing sight of the salmon leaping up the falls if you are here in the autumn! The riverside walks are lovely and a visit to the museum in the 17th-century flour mill, dedicated to the history of coracle making, is a must.
If you enjoy walks and being in the great outdoors, there are 325 acres of fantastic woodlands a few footsteps away at Ffynone and Cilgwyn, and the lodge is well placed for accessing Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Less than 10 miles away is the West Wales coastline and scenic Cardigan Bay, where there are many lovely sandy beaches which lead directly on to the coastal path which are dog friendly all year round and opportunities to see the bottlenose dolphins that are frequent visitors in the bay all within a short drive. The thriving market town of Cardigan is 10 minutes away on the banks of the estuary and the ancient castle is well worth a visit. There are plenty of eateries in the town, including a restaurant on a boat and a βtipiβ serving wood-fired pizzas and live music in the summer. Newquay, a popular tourist destination is only 25 minutes away. The family attractions of Pembrokeshire including Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo are easily accessible for a day out, as is St Davidβs, the smallest city in Britain. Shop, dog friendly pub and restaurant 1 mile from tr park.

All you would have to bring is necessities IE soap, shampoo, dog bowls/beds/food etc and bed linen/ towels if you wanted to bring your own or you can book them in advance and beds will be made up upon arrival.
