I know not many of you want to watch a Christmas video but there's no point in me decorating the Chapel if there's noone there to enjoy it.
The December weekends are now taken but at the moment there are plenty of weekday reduced price breaks to be had.
If I were looking for a pre Christmas break here I'd personally choose a midweek break, as, even during the run up to Christmas it's very easy to find quiet spots to relax. Rutland Water is a lot quieter and we're still getting mild temperatures. Yesterday was glorious.
Shops, Cafes and roads are all quieter on week days.
At the moment we have these dates free to book and if you're interested please follow the link to Airbnb in our Bio. It'll take you straight to our listing where you can look at Winter availability. All our prices are reduced from now until the end of January:
13th-16th November
20th-24th November
4th-7th December
11th-14th December
18th-21st December
5th January onwards
Two nights is the minimum stay.
Prices are £69-£75 a night, that's for the Chapel not per person. That doesn't include cleaning which is a one off charge of £60 per visit, and the Airbnb booking fee (roughly £30 for a two nights stay). Prices are for a two person stay.Extra guests are £30 a night per guest.

Happy World Animal Day people! This is one of our rather naughty dogs enjoying himself on a recent walk. Other dog owners will know what he's doing!
Ironically we don't allow dogs at the Chapel. It's not that we don't like animals (we love animals here.. Colin and Audrey have a kind of mini zoo in our back garden and I'm vegetarian) but it's not suitable with various features dogs would find tricky, and no enclosed garden.
That said it's good for allergy sufferers as pets never visit.
When it comes to products we supply for guests we try hard to find things that are ethical. We do supply toiletry products for example but they are vegan and in refillable containers not individual disposable sachets.
Hope your day is as much fun as Manny is having here🐶🐾

Merry Christmas to all our guests past present and future from the Chapel and it's little helpers
We think it's really important to make the Chapel as welcoming as possible for our guests' arrival.
For me that always involves fresh flowers wherever possible.
These flowers are all currently inside the Chapel and came from our garden next door.

I (as usual) missed the bird that caused this. The fatball was part of the natural Christmas decorations outside and the birds are still enjoying it.
But, as if on cue, horses appeared. I'm always failing to snap a pic of a horse outside the Chapel. They're usually just disappearing from sight when I have my phone ready.
So, at last , there's proof of our claim that this is such a quiet street that some days you're as likely to see a horse outside as a car!
