Acorn Bank is best known for its comprehensive herb collection and traditional fruit orchards, which help to make it a tranquil haven with a fascinating industrial past. ublic for partial visits and guided tours. Rooms are bare though have the scars of generations of families who have lived here. The drawing room will be the first room to be restored with work starting in December (2015).
'Apple Day' is the largest event of the year for Acorn Bank, held the second Sunday in October. It is a day of traditional arts and craft activities and demonstrations by local people as well as local stallholders selling local produce. There is also entertainment and music throughout the day for visitors to enjoy. A day out for all the family as well as the apple enthusiasts!
