Fantastic week spent down in Penzance putting the bungalow to bed for the winter. We discovered new places yet again and already looking forward to going back.

For the more adventurous swimmer, Battery Rocks is right behind the Jubilee Pool, Penzance. There is free street parking and also a cheap car park very close by. It's a great spot for a "serious" swim, with five 100m buoys across the bay giving up to 1km round trip specifically for swimmers; or just for a dip with your dog! https://youtu.be/T3rL5aPEHmo

Nearby Praa Sands, a mile or so south of Prussia Cove. A good surf at low tide - smaller waves when the North Coast is pumping, for the longboarders and lightweights among us (I'm both) - and if you're not into surfing, just a really nice bay with a good bar/cafe right on the sands.

Last night as we drove back to the Manor, we saw the moon rising over St Michael's Mount. It's hard to capture it when you've no tripod, are having to run down the road to get it in line, and you're pointing the camera straight at the very bright moon, so we haven't really done it justice. Believe us when we tell you it was actually stunning.
