This Tuesday 30th July our Brand Ambassador Aidan will be hosting a gin and rum tasting session up at Hafod Eryri, the Snowdon Summit Visitor Centre from 9am-3pm. Why not take a trip up on the Snowdon Mountain Railway to give Aidan a visit up on the mountain!

A great night on Thursday! I went to Browsers Bookshop in Porthmadog and met the author He writes great murder mystery books, and they are all based around North Wales!

Am wythnos prysur iawn!! Mi es i'r 100 o bobl yn ! Roedd hi'n diddorol iawn a mi wnes i lawer o siarad cymraeg (wel, ro'n i'n trio!).  Mi wnaethon ni daith cerdded hanes Pwllheli, gwrando ar awdur Pegi Talfryn a canwr Bendegedig!

What a busy week! I went to the Summer Course for Welsh language learners at Pwllheli College. It was really interesting and included a history tour of Pwllheli, a visit from author Pegi Talfryn and a concert by singer Elin Fflur. It was great!

Don’t forget, so that more people can experience the arch during this time, the garden will be open from 9am-8pm Monday to Thursday (last entry 7.30pm) and 9am-6pm Friday to Sunday (last entry 5pm) from Monday up to and including Sunday 9 June.

Dogs are welcome on short leads (not extendable) every Thursday to Sunday. Please note that dogs are not allowed into the garden on Bank Holiday Mondays between April and September.

Our morning visitors....I have a love/hate relationship with the wild goats. I love seeing them but hate that they have eaten my plants and knocked down a stone wall 🙄
All the guests at Gors-lwyd love seeing them...it's not every day you get wild goats looking through your window 😅

The Caernarfon Food Festival is back for 2024!

The Festival is free entry for all Saturday 11 May 10am-5pm.

Expect to find lots of food and drink stalls, cooking demonstrations as well as live music and an area especially for children at one of North Wales largest food festivals.

We're looking forward to seeing how Keith Brymer Jones is getting along renovating his Chapel in Pwllheli. As well as living in the Chapel, he is going to open a studio too!

So folks ............'the cat is out of the bag' as they say. Our (as in Marj and me) brand new series starts next Sunday 5th May 8pm.
We have been filming since last year .....our progress or the lack of it 🤣 about us moving to N.Wales and renovating a rather large chapel. It's not just a renovation show it's also about the wonderful people we've met in the town .

Snowdon Mountain Railway is gearing for the new season. Engines are being prepped ready for travelling up Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa, in March.
Diesel services will begin from Saturday 23 March and they will travel as far as Clogwyn Station, which is one stop from the summit. This is because snow is expected to remain on the summit for another few weeks.
The Summit Station and Hafod Eryri Visitor Centre will reopen in mid-May.
Steam trains will resume travel to the summit of Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa, in June.
A rail journey up Snowdon is always on the list of things to do and so pre-booking a place is strongly recommended. The trains depart from the station at Llanberis. There is a small car park at the station, but there are other larger car parks nearby.
