Liverpool Lawn in Ramsgate, Kent, was planned as a gently curving crescent to exploit sea views from its site, which is set back from the seafront. 🌊

Note the curved sashes and header bond of the sea-facing, bow-fronted return elevation.

This speculative development was constructed between 1827 and 1836 by the Ramsgate builder James Crisford.

Do holiday let landlords need to pay business rates?

Until 31 March 2023 if your property was in England and let for at least 140 days a year it was classed as a short-let catering home and valid for business rates.

From the 1st April 2023 new business tax rules apply. Your holiday let will be liable for business rates if:

1) It is available for 140 days (20 weeks) in total over the current and previous tax year

2) It has been let for at least 70 days in the past 12 months

The new rules are being introduced to protect those who have a genuine holiday let business that brings benefits to their local area.

We did it !!!
Finally managed to do a sunrise and sunset swim for the solstice. This was part of the wish list for a lonngggg lonngggg time.
