Down at Miners Meadow we’ve been a little quiet.

Where have we been? Well, enjoying the last few weeks of summer but most importantly sending love & healing powers to our Head miner at the Meadow who has been under the weather.. yep it’s true even superheroes get ill 🤒 wishing Jaro a speedy recovery.

Picture perfect after a lovely afternoon exploring the meadow, soaking up that sneaky blue sky peaking through the clouds and with views of tin mines from the front door, what’s not to love!

Just a Shepherds hut in a meadow. Waiting for the flowers to bloom.

Our last guests have spent their days enjoying the peaceful meadow, with the bales all cut & rolled for the season, there’s nothing left but to sit back, enjoy the countryside and all that Cornwall has to offer 💚

Miners meadow is set on the outskirts of St Day an old mining village. Perfectly connected to the all new A30 and equal distance to the North and South coast, you really couldn’t ask this little hut for more.

Connected on the bus routes and within walking distance to the mining way trail and many foot paths, you can relax in knowing the beauty of Cornwall is on your doorstep.

What’s new at miners meadow.. with all this driving rain we’ve had a new addition with a porch door! Cute but keeps that sneaky rain off your shoes & coats.

A kitchenette, again no need to step out of your hut to make your dinner!
A private meadow to sit back and breathe in the Cornish air, there’s no other huts in sight and your unlikely to hear ‘hey there neighbour’ 🤣

These curtains! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Back to the seamstress again! Luckily for me that’s my mum.

Did you know shepherds hut windows were originally small and positioned up high, some nothing more than air vents.
I feel quite grateful that we are making curtains and able to look out of our windows at all. Years gone by windows just weren’t essential and occupants of shepherds huts had very little time to sit inside of the hut looking out.

Back to the seamstress!

Beautiful Cornish Bluebells.

There are so many beautiful spots to see bluebells in Cornwall, talk a short walk through Tehidy woods or wonder through Enys Gardens.
Why not make a lazy long weekend exploring the bluebells of Cornwall?
