Did you know why we're called the Castle Arms? Well, our beautiful village of Snape is actually home to its very own castle with a colourful history! It was home to Queen Anne (Richard III's wife), and later Catherine Parr (who would be the sixth and final wife of notorious Henry VIII), and rumour has it there is an oak tree planted at the nearby Thorp Perrow Arboretum which was named after her!
