We always get great feedback from guests about how much their dogs love West Acre🦮🦮

West Acre is great for dogs all year round with the garden to be enjoyed and loads of local walks in the area, not to mention getting cosy next to the fire in the colder months😁

We would love to see any photos past guests might have of their dogs enjoying the house📸

Looking for a fun more adventurous day out from West Acre? Why not try Pool Bridge Farm 😃

Pool Bridge Farm offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy Wild / Open water swimming in one of its 4 stunning swimming lakes, each with its unique feel and character. Three of the lakes are for adults only with the recently opened Q lake open to families🏊‍♂️🏊‍♂️

The lakes are home to lots of wildlife and are great for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the natural tranquillity of the lakes. It’s a peaceful and relaxing day out that we would highly recommend. It is advised you book tickets online through their website before arrival at the lakes to avoid any disappointment🍃🏞

Jeff and Vicki recently visited The Drovers Arms - Restaurant & Country Pub for lunch which was very nice. The Drovers arms is about a 20 minute drive from West Acre and a trip could be coupled up with a walk through Skipwith Common, right on its doorstep🦮

Dogs are welcomed in the pub area which is very cosy with a real log fire🔥

The pub/restaurant are able to accommodate large groups, for groups over 10 they would prefer that you pre order food👩‍🍳

Did you know Selby Abbey is just a ten minute drive from West Acre?

Selby is a small Yorkshire town, yet it has one of the most outstanding Abbey churches to be found anywhere in England. Selby Abbey is often called the hidden Gem of Yorkshire🕍

Selby Abbey is well worth a visit whilst you're at West Acre, especially if you need to nip into Selby for some shopping anyway!😁

One of our favourites is mrsmillscooks, Following her success on MasterChef, Jo went on to launch her own catering and private chef business and has been delighting our guests at West Acre with her incredible food and budget friendly prices. She is passionate about creating spectacular food that caters to any occasion, and always delivers over and above with a smile on her face! 😃

Some maintenance work done on the bushes around the patio last week🌳

Exciting news, we finally have some new drone footage of West Acre!🎉🎉

The old drone footage was a bit dated due to us making a lot of changes to the outside areas of the house, such as the terrace furniture, new play area and some patio renovation😁

Summer is here at West Acre so it's a great time for some outdoor competition in the garden☀☀

Whether you want to set up your own sports day or use some of the games supplied, your day will fly by🤼

We have table tennis, rounders, giant jenga and a croquet set available to all guests🎾🏓

How amazing are the borders looking at the moment😍

We do all of our own gardening at West Acre so it's a proud moment when the borders come out meaning the hard work was worth it😄

The colours in the borders change throughout the whole year so most guests will see a different sight to the previous guests, which colour is your favourite?🌷🪻🌹

The West Acre Dog Wash Station is now open for business!🐕

We now have hot and cold water taps outside the house with a splitter so you can find the perfect temperature for those muddy paws after their adventure🐾🐾

There is also a dog bath provided as well as towels for all our doggy guests🛁

Being dog owners ourselves we understand just how important a part of the family your four-legged friends are, that's why at West Acre we welcome up to four dogs during your visit🐕🐕🐕🐕

We provide all guests with dogs with our 'Doggie Welcome Basket' providing your four-legged friends with everything they need to enjoy a well deserved holiday😃

Dogs love to explore the garden and there are plenty of walks in the village of Wistow for them to enjoy during their visit🦮

Our luxury cottages have everything that you would need to enjoy your break so that you can be entertained and relaxed while spending quality times with your loved ones. Our cottages have many luxury amenities such as a hot tub, sauna and even a cinema room.

All of our homes have a local host who will ensure that your stay will have a special personal touch, your host will also be happy to help you organise any activities that you wish to do and will advise you on places to eat that suit you. Your host will meet you upon arrival and will be available if you need anything during your stay.
