It’s been a while since we posted so we thought we’d share some feedback from our awesome guests in the comments book this year. 😁

There are only a few summer dates left so be quick if you’re looking for a get away. 🙌🏻

Alternatively, winter months are lovely and cozy with the log burner going. 🔥 ✅

3 village pubs (all dog friendly), lots of dog walks, close to York, Leeds, Harrogate and the coast. ✅

We also have Claude’s Meadow which is an enclosed dog field for exercising your dog off lead. Guests receive a 20% discount with 10% of all bookings donated to the Pointer Rescue Service.

If you’re bringing your dog with you and need an enclosed exercise area we have a 1 acre paddock that is bookable via Claude’s Meadow.

It’s £6 for 45 minutes but guests of Little Acres Cottage can take advantage of a 20% discount.

News Update!

For guests who bring their dog on holiday there is now the option to book the use of Claude’s Meadow, which is an enclosed dog field for exercising your dog off lead and is just a short walk from the cottage.

Full price is £6 for 45 minutes but guests staying at Little Acres can take advantage of a 20% discount ….. just contact us before booking your slot(s) and we will email you a discount code to use.

Just to keep guests up to date regarding pubs to get a meal locally. The popular dog friendly Castle Inn in Cawood has taken the decision to stop serving food and is now only open for drinks st the weekend until a new tenant is found.

However, for those of you who like to eat out the Black Swan in Wistow has reopened and is getting great reviews for their food. Sunday lunch is proving very popular so you’ll need to book a couple of weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. They’re dog friendly so you can take your pooch. Check out their page below:

A beautiful autumnal sunrise today at little acres cottage ☀️

There were 3 surprise visitors early this morning 😍 🦌

This was just at the side of the cottage garden but they were a little too close to the road for our liking so we went out to disturb them.

If you’re an early bird keep your eyes peeled whilst having your morning brew….you may be lucky and get to watch them at close quarters. 🤞🏻

The owls are very active at the minute as well. Plenty of tawny owls to spot from sunset to sunrise 🦉

We can’t promise weather like this during your stay but what we can promise you is a warm welcome and comfortable stay. Don’t take our word for it, check out our feedback from our lovely guests.

The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Cawood in lovely countryside. It’s close to York, Leeds, Harrogate and the coast.

The cooler weather means you can get the log burner roaring 🔥 after days out in York, Harrogate, The Yorkshire Wolds or simply walking in lovely open countryside around the village of Cawood.

We’re dog friendly with a fully enclosed secure garden. The pubs in the village are all dog friendly so if the dog 🐶 fancies a pint 🍺 and a bite to eat then this is the place for them.
