Hi guys,

Unfortunately, due to the lack of space available, there will be NO CLASSES tonight!

However, if you still want to get your dancing fix and get to know some of the other dancers around Sheffield, then we will be attending 'Let The Rhythm Hitem' (https://www.facebook.com/events/913224578704316/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming).

This event is from 6pm - 2am and consists of:

***A Solo Graffiti Art Exhibition by trik9
15 pieces of artwork all inspired by music

***7 to smoke bboy battle
£250 worth of prizes artwork and cash to the winner

Be great to see familiar and new faces attending. It will be a great vibe with a chance to ask some questions and get to know the dancers participating.

7PM-8PM Kirsty will be teaching STREET!
8PM-9PM Is your time to train. Practice the moves you have learnt in classes or practice your own thing! It is totally up to you!

The teachers break down the classes so that everyone can benefit, whether you want basic foundations or harder moves these classes are for you!

So how much are the classes you say? Well the classes are FREE for Members and £2 for NON-MEMBERS which is the cheapest classes in Sheffield by a long shot!

So come down, have some fun and let’s get dancing!

If anyone who has a spare second can help a friend of the society out, we'd much appreciate it. My friend Ben Jones has entered a competition to go to Brazil for the world cup to present for Titan Bet. Hey everyone, bit of an informational post, but street dance as we know it involves many styles. One of which is house; which of course developed along side house music! Today, the "Godfather of house" Frankie Knuckles passed away. He was one of the very first people to develop and popularize "house" as we know it in the "Warehouse" club and others of Chicago in the late 1970s-early 1980s. From there the style of music vastly developed around the world to where we are today, with house music at every club, party and corner you turn.

"Without people like Frankie Knuckles, we would not exist" : Ministry of sound quote today from the radio.

Know your history people, where your dance has come from and the pioneers who inspired the people we listen to in clubs today. Have a listen, Frankie's on another level ...
