With another hot day inbound we have some safety tips below for when out and about in the heat today⬇️

• Look out for those who may struggle to keep themselves cool and hydrated –

• Drink plenty of fluids (water) and avoid excess alcohol

• Never leave anyone in a closed, parked vehicle, especially infants, young children or animals

• Check that fridges, freezers and fans are working properly

• Try to keep out of the sun between 11am to 3pm, when the UV rays are strongest

• Walk in the shade, apply sunscreen and wear a wide-brimmed hat, if you have to go out in the heat

• Avoid physical exertion in the hottest parts of the day

• Make sure you take water with you if you are travelling

• Take care and make sure to follow local safety advice if you are going into the water to cool down.

• Check medicines can be stored according to the instructions on the packaging

• If you find yourself in danger in open water or the sea, float on your back extend your arms and legs

• If you see anybody in danger at sea dial 999 immediately and ask for the Coastguard 🚨

Boxing icon Frank Bruno is coming to The Club Tropicana Wednesday 10th August 2pm-4pm

The Club Tropicana is hosting the former world heavyweight champion's book signing to coincide with the release of 'Frank Bruno - 60 Years as a Fighter'.

Frank Bruno will also bring some signed memorabilia with him, with the proceeds going to the Frank Bruno Foundation.
The registered charity was set up in 2017 with the idea of opening Round by Round centres all over Europe.

His 2022 book, including a foreword by Piers Morgan, is described as delivering an "honest and open" insight into Bruno's life from his own point of view.
Frank Bruno had an illustrious boxing career including two high-profile matches with Mike Tyson and a world championship triumph over Oliver McCall in 1995.

The signing at The Club Tropicana is on Wednesday 10th August at 2pm -4pm.
Admission is free.
