It’s Foodie Friday! And this is a picture heavy post 😋😋

When we say Sandals is luxury included, it really is. Unlike other all inclusive resorts there are no cover charges, no additional supplements, no restaurants reserved just for certain room types.
All Sandals resorts have a good selection of restaurants and bars but here at Barbados there are 20!
There is a Buffett restaurant at every Sandals, where you can choose your own meal from a vast variety of salads, pasta etc. Or you can choose a restaurant specialising in a type of cuisine, here in Barbados we have
- Bombay, Indian
- Portofinos, Italian
- Soy, sushi bar
- Kimonos, hibatchi style show cooking
- Neptunes, European style
- schooners, seafood
- La parisienne, French
-Merry monkey, English pub
- Chi,Asian fusion
- American Tavern, self explanatory!
- Butch’s chophouse, steaks
- Butch’s steak and seafood, as above with some amazing fish dishes too!
- heart and Sol, healthy salads and juices
- Greenhouse, healthy plus vegetarian and vegan

There’s more quick eat areas, from a hot dog stand, a pizza takeaway, a toasted sandwich place, a jerk chicken shack. And here we have a cafe de Paris for ice creams, patisserie, and speciality coffee, a donut shop, there’s also a bowling alley with snack food served such as onion rings and nuggets for that late night games evening
Barbados is a mini village where you walk in, order and eat and don’t pay another penny locally!

Some restaurants require you to reserve a spot, so on arrival book your favourites as walk ins are not usually accepted, but not Impossible!

There’s a bar near every dining venue and pool location, so drinks are never far away!

It’s all far too tempting ! 😍😋

We reserved Chi, and both Butch’s this trip.

Portion sizes are small, so maybe order more things and share, they encourage it, but again you’ll never go hungry if you don’t!

It’s three room category Thursday !
At Sandals resorts There are so many different room types based on location, balcony or walkout.
These room types all fall in to 3 categories
-luxury
-club/concierge
-Butler

Luxury will provide a choice of location, usually not pool or seafront but with amazing room facilities as standard such as an enormous superking bed. A fridge stocked with soft drinks and wine and beer, coffee machine. Safe and iron ( and board ) there’s the spa toiletries in all rooms too
Club Concierge rooms have better locations, a dedicated check in lounge and a desk to book your restaurant reservations, you’ll also get extra room perks such as a choice of your favourite spirits in your room or a soaking tub on your balcony perhaps or a swim up room

Butler rooms tend to be in the very best locations in as much as they are sea or pool view, they could have swim up facilities or your own private pool, and/or a larger one bed suite with a lounge and a soaking tub
Of course you are also treated to a private transfer - usually in a Rolls Royce, you are checked in, in your room and you have the undivided attention of your butler who will place your towels and reserve your favourite spot by your favourite pool or on the beach, they’ll also make sure a cool box of your favourite beverages are there waiting for you! they’ll have already taken your restaurant reservation requests before you arrived and they will es**rt you to each restaurant!

This 2 resort property is made up of Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados
So today we take you to the more full on pools, The Royal side of the resort is the more party pool, there’s DJ’s round the infinity pool and lots of pool activities, swim up room types around this pool too so you can be in your own pool listening to the music if you prefer!

By the pool you can play giant chess, and other games

The (non) Royal side also has a large pool by the beach and is the place where the pool volley ball takes place, it has a swim up bar too !

And finally the Roof Top, pools and the sky bar - amazing views over the Royal side of the resort and this is where you can eat breakfast at La Parisienne restaurant, ( which we’ve just done !) or dine on an evening where it has a very atmospheric, chic vibe

it’s terrific Tuesday in Barbados and today we’ll share with you the option you have for a quiet sophisticated pool area - The Oasis at Sandals
This pool has cabanas( no reservations - first come first served ) so we turned up early !! a dedicated bar and a very chilled vibe - there’s no pool games or music here. The 2 restaurants are California vibe with Heart and Sol quick serve serving salads and wraps - freshly squeezed juice and smoothies!
Greenhouse is a fresh healthy restaurant with salmon and chicken alongside a vast array of vegan and vegetarian options
So we take a chill day, eat healthy…😍 as tomorrow we might not be so good!

Advance Notice of a long awaited (and frankly fairly overdue!) Holiday for myself and Claire!
We sometimes have to test out these resorts purely for research purposes, we take no pleasure in it what so ever, we will not be on the beach, in the pool, eating at different restaurants all day and taking advantage of the bars!!

Who are we kidding!! We are very excited to be heading to Sandals Barbados from the 11th - 18th June, we love Sandals Resorts, and all that they offer and we can't wait to share with you our recommendations, and photos from this stunning ( 2 resorts in 1 ) location

I will also be working from the other shop the week before we depart
This means the St Ives shop will close after work on Saturday 3rd and we will be back in for our normal hours and days in St Ives from Weds 21st June. Emails and calls will still be replied to, but from the 11th - 19th - please allow for "island time difference" 🌴☀
