The Peat Stack ~ Cruach-Mhòna

I thought I'd share a couple of pics of the wonderful peat stacks made by my cousin Danny Mackay (shared with permission)

There used to be a peat stack or "cruach" on nearly every croft in the village in days gone by. Going to the peats was a big day out when I was younger myself - a well made cruach really was and is a work of art!

When we saw the unit design - I immediately thought of a cruach! ◼️🔥....and so The Peat Stack idea was born lol!
