Whilst our guests are all cosied up in their lodges, we’re out preparing for high winds. Did you know that wind turbines have to be braked with high winds? 🤔. Our turbines are 18m high, and as we’re due 62mph winds this afternoon, we have to brake them so they don’t damage themselves! What’s not good fun is standing right below those blades whilst they’re coming to a stop 😱😱😱😱. Keep cosy and safe everyone 🥰

We’ve had a squad helping with dipping the sheep today. 3500 sheep nearly done! It all started just after 6 this morning…lots of coffee, a fried breakfast, soup and rolls and a fish supper to keep them going. Absolutely fantastic job done!
The dip looks really dirty right? Not the case - it’s full of all the stuff that protects the sheep from all those lovely bugs 🪲🦟🪳that can make themselves at home in their wool and also from parasites 🦠We have to make sure even their wee heads are dipped, keeping them well and safe…and we have to make sure every single one of the 3500 sheep get the same dip, on the same day!
Well done to the team for their fantastic efforts - a massive task 👏👏👏I’m sure there will be some sore backs tonight.

These lot are having the best craic! Our guests have had these wee cuties for neighbours as the lambing field is right next the lodges. Seems to be a wee bit of working out who’s the boss 🧐.
One of the sheep, raised as a pet lamb and features in our photos has lambed for the second year. Not one bit of bother to her! I was just the bystander - she did it all by herself ❤️🐑👍.
Lambing well underway here. We’re about a third of the way through our indoor lambing. Long way to go but was lovely to get two cute sets of quads today 👏👏

Lambing has been in full swing for a week now with a full team working around the clock to look after our lovely ladies! We’ve now hit the halfway mark and it’s all downhill from here! There is nothing like seeing new life on the farm ❤️
