Want a quick walk . This is about 15 mins from Cottage as you enter Cirencester. There is not a lot to be seen . Can do it all in 20 mins and road noise isn't great but Nala loves it and free parking . Together with a Dobbies visit for the morning this suits us .

Known as AV8 Restaurant, dog friendly , right next to runway . Check the website for opening times as shut some Mondays but open all other days . Great little unknown place , 10 mins from Cottage .

Exactly an hour from the cottage but amazing views of the 14 locks together out of 29 on Kennet & Avon Canal in total and great to watch the barges navigate them !
Cafe and lovely walk round the canal . I visited a dog cafe at Bradford on Avon as well en route.

Official Cotswolds Water Park , great with a beach but expensive to get in and have to pre -book.
I've tried these two :
South Cerney Outdoor.
Enjoy outdoor sports or just do a lunch stop with great view of the lake , free parking for 3 hours . Bistro or lakeside cafe with doggy ice cream .
Want more food choices ... Turning just before is De Vere hotel with outdoor doughnut / crepe shack, pizzeria , dog friendly cafe by lake and restaurant with outdoor dog showers.
Lots of free nature reserves /walks round the lakes , see leaflet in the cottage .

Uley Bury, 750 feet above sea level, views of River Severn , Smallpox Hill, Cam Peak.
Iron age fort dating from 300BC. GL11 5SN. 10, minutes drive from cottage.
Dog friendly 'Old Crown ',17th Century pub in Uley village. Free dog biscuits on bar and complimentary doggy roast dinner on Sundays !

About 10 mins by car from the cottage ....
Reasonable priced menu as part of Greene King Inns.
Dogs are allowed in the bar area which also has the option of a full restaurant menu . Lovely garden in the Summer as well.

Beautiful cafe,farm & garden shop and deli . With the exception of the deli all areas are dog accessible .
A lovely small circular outdoor area and a longer walk to Stinchcombe Hill if feeling energetic.
About 30 mins from Cottage.

Only 40 mins from the cottage ... Board Concorde, have a cream tea under it !

Why not hire a bike from outside ' The Goods Shed ' Tetbury. You can have hot drinks and hot snacks here or walk or ride along the play trail , ( lots of keep fit equipment on route ) to Trouble House directly from here for Tea and Cake and a lovely meal . Dogs allowed.

Beautiful countryside right next to the Cottage. Horse riding lessons , pub rides and hacks for all the family .
Less than 10 minutes from the cottage .
O k this is my horse and friend's but we did the Barton End Stables routes and Abby has to make an appearance lol

Lovely gardens at the local hotel within walking distance from the cottage. A bit pricey but have offers nights and a dog friendly bar and lovely gardens to have a drink in .

Step back in time to Minchinhampton (Princess Anne's home town ) . Nice dog walking long common with cows that own it and have right of way . Visit Ragged Cot Inn ,gastro pub , my favourite or head down Nailsworth for lots of independent shops and independent restaurants . Alternatively head to Winstones Ice Cream shop on Rodborough Common, the next common along.
