Those lovely people at 💙 NORFOLK NUTTY NAGS!! FUN RIDES AND EQUESTRIAN EVENTS 💙 organised another Thetford Pass Wide and Slow event here in Thetford today. Joined by many of their friends, the event was organised to raise awareness for motorist to consider other road users, such as pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, and to remind motorists of the UK rules when encountering horses on the roads.
Slow down to below 10mph to pass horses and riders, give horses and riders at least two metres space when overtaking them, don’t overtake horses and riders until they can give a two-metre clearance, give extra space when passing horses, riders, and horse-drawn vehicles at night or in bad weather, and not cut across horse riders or horse-drawn vehicles when turning into or out of a junction, or changing lane.
The majority of drivers today behaved impeccably and drove with consideration of these rules (THANK YOU), unfortunately there was at least one person who needed reminding... that's why it is so important for this event to be organised!

Think again... from the comfort of your home town of Thetford, you can see the spectacular new production, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, from Magic Floor Productions !
We were privileged to attend the very first dress rehearsal, and from the very moment you walk into the theatre and see the fabulous 3 dimensional set design, you cannot help yourself just saying 'WOW!'
We have watched these guys go from strength to strength over the last year, and this production takes the local actors, singing and music, set and lighting design, and choreography to a new level.

The Thetford garden and allotment club held their Annual Show 2024 on Saturday, a spectacular showing from our Thetford gardeners was on display, and some well deserved awards were handed out by out very own Chris Harvey, Mayor of Thetford.

Thetford Cricket Club ALL OUT Music Festival have done it again, what an amazing event yesterday. Fantastic organisation, amazing acts, great food and drink, tons for the kids to do, and the beautiful folk of Thetford! The Bubbly Hub was delighted to be invited to take a few photographs as The Festival Brew Weekend kicked off on Friday at Royal British Legion - Thetford, with a full house watching live music and attendees sampling the range of local brews.
Magpye, a Thetford 4 piece Folk Band, provided an amazing opening night's music, subtly blending their unique fusion of Folk/Ballads, giving a punchy toe tapping performance.
The weekend continues at Royal-British Legion-Thetford Club, from Midday Saturday til midnight, and again on Sunday midday til 5pm.
Come on down and sample the amazing hospitality of the club along with music and an amazing range of local ales, lagers and ciders. Everyone welcome.

Another amazing example of what a community can achieve when they come together and support a worthy cause.

£656.05 was raised for Stroke Association thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals donating prizes, and the amazing folk who donated or entered the raffle.

Today saw the launch of Thetford's very first rickshaw, which was kindly sponsored by Breckland Council, and in partnership with Thetford Rickshaw in Partnership, enABLE Thetford and Keystone.
At the event, the winning name for the rickshaw was revealed, 'Boudica', a name with Celtic roots, meaning 'Victorious'. A name also with very strong local historical connections.
Let us all get behind and support this amazing initiative, offering help to those less able to get out and about in this lovely town of ours.

The Bubbly Hub was delighted to be invited to take a few photographs of The Thetford Pride Official After Party at The Carnegie & Guildhall Complex.
The amazing crowd whooped and cheered, and whooped and cheered some more, as the Drag Night progressed, with the talented performers putting on an amazing evening of entertainment.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the work we are doing, collaborated, and contributed to making Thetford an amazing place to be!
We are still true to our original goal ""Born out of frustration", this website has been created to bring together all of the events in Thetford. So many times I, and people I have spoken to, have commented that they have only found out about events 'after' they have occurred. Working with all of the people organising great events in Thetford, we are supporting their hard work, and helping to advertise the events (for free), so anyone visiting this site can become aware 'before' the event has occurred."

The Bubbly Hub was delighted to be invited to take a few photographs of the first day of The Thetford Bulldogs Football Club Tournament 2024, where 193 teams took part in the largest tournament to date.
The Tournament continues tomorrow (Sunday 30th June), so if you fancy an action packed day of sporting entertainment, head on over to the event. Kick off 9am, BBQ, Ice Cream, Parking £2, and it is all run by the volunteers.

The Bubbly Hub popped along and joined in the Doggy Fun Day fundraiser, which was organised by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Many local businesses and individuals made donations, and volunteers and individuals donated their time to support the event.
It is always an amazing atmosphere when many businesses come together to support such an event as this, raising an amazing £529.83.

The lovely people at enABLE Thetford need some help please, they are looking for a name for Thetford's very first Rickshaw.
Thetford Rickshaw in Partnership (TRIP) will be launching on 19th July and would like suggestions from local people for a name for their very first Rickshaw. The prize for suggesting the winning name will be a Rickshaw ride for two and Afternoon Tea at Riversdale.

Following on from their very successful Dementia UK Fundraiser, the Ex Service Club have announced the date for their second Charity Fundraiser, supporting the Stroke Association, on Sunday 11th August 2024.
