COME AND HIDE AT KILBRIDE! The Hideaway is a self contained one bedroom annexe attached to the owners accommodation at Kilbride Farm. The farmhouse itself was built in the 1890's and the annexe is a more recent conversion. It is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of every day life with time to sit and admire the views or wander down to a qu

iet sandy beach and re connect with your inner peace. Situated just a few minutes drive from the pretty village of Tighnabruaich on the stunning Cowal Peninsula of Scotland's west coast it is in an area known as 'Argyll's Secret Coast'. Kilbride Farm is a landmark used to direct people to the most beautiful beach in the area, Ostel Bay, also known as Kilbride Bay. The stunning bay with views over to Arran is just a 15 minute walk away and accessible only on foot from the track which forms part of the boundary of Kilbride Farm. The Hideaway has a large bedroom with a comfortable super king sized bed. It has ample cupboard and drawer space for all your personal effects. There is also space to erect a travel cot or inflatable bed for a child if desired (we have both a full sized inflatable bed or a travel cot available for guest use, the bed could also accommodate a small 3rd adult) Next to the bedroom is lovely big bathroom that offers you the choice of a quick shower before a day on the beach or a long deep luxurious soak in the bath after a day spent walking in some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable. There is also a WC and wash hand basin. The cosy open plan lounge dominated by patio doors with stunning views over open countryside has a small kitchen area at one end which is equipped with all that you will need to whip up a hearty breakfast, an indulgent lunch or a romantic evening meal to eat either at the dining table or outside on your own raised patio where there is seating as well as a barbeque should you wish to fire it up and cook up some of the wonderful local produce. Where ever you choose to eat the view will be amazing. You have a four ring electric hob, a fridge with small freezer compartment, a combination microwave/fan assisted convection oven/grill, a toaster and kettle and an abundance of utensils. The rest of the room is turned over to relaxation with a comfy sofa, an electric log burner effect fire, a television, a DVD player and also free WiFi. There are also books, DVDs and games supplied. The Hideaway also has oil fired central heating. The patio doors in the lounge supply you with your own access separate to the owners entrance and you can access it by your own path along the side of the annexe. Although you share the garden with the owners they will give you all the privacy. peace and quiet you desire and as the garden is large and the land extends to 9 acres there is plenty of space to lose yourself in. There is a pretty burn that runs directly next to the side access to The Hideaway and through the garden so you can sit on the patio and listen to the relaxing sound of the water running. Many years ago there used to be a water wheel located here. TIGHNABRUAICH. Tighnabruaich is a village on the Kyles of Bute in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, it is promoted as part of "Argyll's Secret Coast", west of Glasgow, and is located along the east coast of Loch Fyne and stretching into the Kyles of Bute. The views around the area are amazing and Bute looks so close in places that would think you could swim to it, but we strongly recommend the frequent ferry services available from various small ports around the area that take you to explore the myriad of islands along this stretch of coastline. A popular location for sailing and yachting, there is a sailing school here. Shinty is also popular locally, with the town being home to Kyles Athletic, who have won the prestigious Camanachd Cup on numerous occasions. Tighnabruaich is also one of the most popular locations for trips aboard the Paddle Steamer Waverley, the world’s only remaining sea-going paddle steamer. In the village itself there are 3 pubs / hotels in which to sample the delicious local fresh seafood and other delicacies from the area and also fine ales and Scotland's finest whiskies, a tearoom, small shops, an art gallery and a post office. The area is perfect for artists, photographers, ramblers, wildlife enthusiasts and just about anyone who can appreciate being away from crowds, noise and hustle and bustle, as soon as you arrive here you will find yourself slowing down and relaxing... it just doesn't get any better!!
