Happy Grand Kadooment Day! 🎊

Grand Kadooment Day, is a vibrant carnival on the first Monday of August featuring elaborate costumes, lively music, and exuberant street parties.

The day marks the end of Crop Over Festival, a season celebrating Barbados' rich cultural heritage and the end of the sugar cane harvest.

Revellers dress in full costume and ‘jump’ for miles, dancing to calypso music along a planned route lasting the whole day.

Finishing up at Spring Garden Highway in Bridgetown, where the festivities continue with music, food, and celebrations by the beach.

We are delighted that the Barbados Government have announced an end to Covid-19 testing when travelling to the island from today. The removal of testing applies to fully vaccinated travellers only but includes accompanied children under 18 who are unvaccinated.
