BAY FOLK Weekend 6,7,8 June 2025

First of all thank you to everyone who made it to Bay for the folk weekend. As usual it was a huge success and, walking round on Friday night before my birthday treat in London on Saturday & Sunday I saw some fantastic sessions, singers and musicians. Planning for next years weekend will commence shortly !

❓DID YOU KNOW – Like Whitby, we have our very own ‘Whale Bone Arch’. In this instance it is the lower jaw bones of a S***m Whale, it is thought to have been brought to Robin Hood’s Bay in the early 1980’s by the Captain of an Arctic/Antarctic research vessel 🚢

It is located close to the Robin Hood’s Bay MUSEUM, why not visit both next time you are in the Bay. The Fylingdales Museum & Archive Trust holds a number of photos of the whale Bone Arch including the one shown here.
