Welcome to Laburnum Lodge....... boasting a beautiful lake view from the enclosed spacious decking complete with patio furniture and luxury hot tub, there is no better way to enjoy this view whether it is on a brisk winters evening or glorious summers morning,

Laburnum Lodge offers a large kitchen, dining and living area which features all the mod cons you would expect from this exquisite lodge,

the kitchen is also fitted with a double oven, microwave, gas hob, toaster, slow cooker, wine cooler and all the essentials you require for your holiday,

The Lounge area boasts two sofas one being a 2 seater which converts into a double sofa bed allowing the lodge to comfortably fit up to 6 guests, with a cosy log burner effect fire set in a attractive surround enabling you to have a simply wonderful stay all year round,

The master bedroom has a king size bed perfect for those breakfast in bed kind of mornings, fitted double wardrobe's, with a luxurious en suite bathroom with a bath and shower along with a double sink unit,

The second bedroom is also a very spacious room with two full size single beds, double wardrobes and a Jack & Jill door into the main bathroom which boasts a walk in shower

Both bedrooms have Tv's

There is also a utility area with a washing machine, drying rack, iron and board, cot, high chair and shoe rack,

Laburnum Lodge really does have everything to offer you for your luxury Yorkshire staycation

Neighbourhood-

Allerthorpe Golf & Country park is 5 minutes from the Market Town of Pocklington (Market Day is Tuesday) where you will find a great array of local shops, butchers, a greengrocers & supermarkets for all your self-catering needs, a large petrol station, a Swimming Pool and Sports Centre and an award winning Arts Centre for cinema and live performance. Transport-

There are no direct public transport services to the Park, but taxis are available from Pocklington to link up with the bus network to York, Stamford Bridge, Hull, Beverley, Bridlington on the coast and beyond!

Whilst on your break at Laburnum Lodge, take a trip into York City and visit two of the oldest pubs.
The Three Tuns on Coppergate opened in 1782 and The Golden Fleece on Pavement dates back to 1582.

Well worth a tipple or two 😉

The York Proms returns to the Museum Gardens on Sunday 28th July 2024, with a great night of live entertainment featuring live orchestra, opera soloists, a stunning fireworks finale and local talent on our warm up stage.

In all, you can enjoy over 5 hours of soaking in the historic gardens, savouring your picnic, or sampling the food from the on site caterers, and listening to wonderful music.

A peaceful walk alongside this beautiful canal at Melbourne, just 2 miles from Allerthorpe.

The Pocklington Canal runs for 9.5 miles between East Cottingwith and Canal Head at Pocklington.

The Pocklington Canal Amenity Society have restored the section from the River Derwent to the Melbourne Arms where you can get a tasty lunch

The majority of the canal is designated as SSSI for its wildlife value, with the lower reaches lying within the Lower Derwent Valley National Nature Reserve. The towpath that runs along the canal is a great place for spotting the brilliant blue flash of a kingfisher or dragonflies darting above the reeds.

musical entertainment at the bandstand provided by the Auckland Shanty Singers.

What a lovely afternoon on the sun patio overlooking the lake with the ducks swimming around the fountain.
So lucky to have this extra space to relax on off the main deck area. Great space for children to run around on.

What gorgeous views as you walk along the coast from Sewerby to Bridlington. Whilst in the area drop into the RSPB at Bempton Cliffs and see the puffins.
All this only a short 35 minutes drive away from Laburnum Lodge 🙂
