Georgia is renowned for its rich culinary traditions and unique and flavorful cheeses🧀

Every region in Georgia has its own cheese-making tradition which is and each one of them is absolutely different!
Nowadays in Georgia there are 14 (!) registered cheese types. Each variety offers a glimpse into the region's diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.

1) “Dambalkhacho” from Pshavi - moldy cheese which, unlike the European one, is steamed in a natural way (this technic is a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage);

2) “Chogi” from Tusheti - melted cheese with fatty sheep's milk;

3) “Kalti” from Tianeti regions - with the whey remaining after the production of Guoda cheese. It is an extraordinary antiseptic;

4) “Kobi” from Khevi - both raw and partially fermented with cow's and sheep's milk;

5) “Adjarian and Meskhiab Chechili” with low-fat cow's milk;

6) “Sulguni” - "Suli" -sould and "Guli"-heart from different regions - grated cheese, fresh cow's, buffalo's, goat's raw milk or their mixture;

7) “Gouda” cheese is made in all regions - with sheep's milk, kept in a gouda made from sheep skin;

8) “Imeruli” - with fresh, unboiled milk, where all the beneficial properties of milk are preserved;

9) “Kartluri” (factory) - cultivated cheese, with pasteurized cow's milk;

10) “Meskhur Tenili” - with fresh cow's milk cream (this species is on the list of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage).

We love the Georgian cuisine which amazes us all the time!

After seeking for interesting and hidden recipes we found a delicious dish called Tutmaji that comes from a region called Meskheti in Southern Georgia

We are happy to share with you thi cold yogurt soup-like dish filled with both cooked and fried dough, perfect for summer!

📝Ingredients:
Flour 1 kg.
Yogurt 1L.
Butter (or oil) 100 g.
Water 2L.
Salt (by taste)

🥣Cooking stages:
1) knead a hard dough from the flour and the a bit of salt, use cold water and let it rest for 10-20 minutes
After resting, divide the dough into 2 even pieces: roll down one half and cut into rectangles.

2)Boil a big pot of water with salt and add the rectangles to cook.
Make a small fingerlike pieces from the other part of the dough and fry them in butter.
Once the rectangles are cooked, remove most of the water and keep about 1 cup in the pot.

3)Add the yogurt, the fried dough and mix well.

Goes amazing with a glass of white wine “Tvishi”! 🍟

Don’t forget to share your results!

Diamonds are everyone's best friends!💎

In the village of Tselka, about 60 kilometers from Tbilisi and right above the Dashabashi Canyon, a glass bridge was built with an amazing diamond-shaped observation point in the center.

Did you know⁉

According to Guinness World Records, The Glass Bridge is the tallest suspended transparent structure in the world!
With a length of 240 meters, the bridge rises to a height of 280 meters above the huge canyon, several waterfalls and the overflowing stream.

With an investment by the KASS company, the bridge and the diamond were designed and planned by using mild steel and glass that does not dazzle so that the bridge fits perfectly into the special nature 🌳

In the complex there are shops, bars and extreme activities for adrenaline lovers as Zip-lines, over-the-cliff swing and string bicycle 🚎‍♀

Tbilisi from bird’s eye - The hot air balloon Experience! 🎈

Picture this: You're gently lifted off the ground, surrounded by panoramic views of Tbilisi's iconic skyline, the breeze kisses your cheeks as you ascend higher and higher, your anticipation building with each passing moment. Welcome a crazy aerial adventure!

Even Anat who was so scared of height, at first refused to get into the basket, but once she saw the safety measurements taken, she knew she was safe.

The balloon doesn’t fly free, it is tied by a rope for minimum movements to the sides, it only raises up to the amazing view of Tbilisis' old city.

The technical stuff is so nice explaining how safe the trip is and helps to overcome the fear an enjoy the moment 🀩

Ready to take your Tbilisi experience to new heights? The flying balloon awaits to let your dreams take flight! ✈

Georgian Wine- Traditions of flavors!🍇

Georgia, the cradle of wine civilization, is home to a remarkable array of grape varieties and winemaking traditions, each contributing to the rich tapestry of Georgian wine culture.

Here we recommend from personal experience our favorite classical Georgian wines:
Whites 🥂
🟡Tsinandali – a dry white wine made with grapes Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane Kakhuri, grown in the Tsinandali micro-viticulture area of the Kakheti region of Georgia. The wine is of greenish light-straw color and has a pronounced floral aroma.
🟡Tvishi – a special vine from Racha-Lechkhumi region, the wine is distinct with its rich and vivid aromas. Sweet aromas of field flowers are nicely glimpse through multifarious bouquet of ripe white fruit. smooth, medium-bodied wine. recommended temperature for serving is 6-8°C. The wine matches salads, fish, many sorts of cheese and dry cakes.

Reds🍷
🔎Saperavi – Dry wine with deep, dark red color and dominant aromas of ripe black cherry. Grapes are hand-picked at the optimum of their maturity.
🔎Kindzmarauli- One of the most well-known Georgian wines given its popularity in the Soviet period. Many American wine-drinkers are put off by the word "sweet" but this authentic naturally semi-sweet wine has been making American converts for the last decade. It is sweet but not too sweet because it is made from a tannic and complex grape varietal, Saperavi.

Which one do you think you’ll try next?

Today is the Georgian day of love❀🇬🇪

Why today?🀔

Since 1994 15 of April has become the official Georgian love day.

It all began with an advertising in a local journel “Cocktail” about a concert happening in Tbilisi’s Rustaveli theatre. The advertisement said: “The youth of Georgia is worthy for a true day of love, because they are the ones who know the most beautiful and loyal way of love. Hence, may the traditional day of love be 15th of April- a celebration of the worderful young beating souls of Georgia. This festival is to wake up the nation’s future and never forget that we are the ones to lead in the future the country we live in today, and only with love for each other, we will make it stronger”

We are full of love every day of the calendar!🌺

09/04/2024

April 9th is a national Memorial Day and dayoff, which holds a significant historical and cultural importance in Georgia.

On this day we remember and honor the events of April 9, 1989, which played a pivotal role in Georgia's path towards independence from the Soviet Union.
On this day back then, a peaceful demonstration took place in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, demanding independence and protesting Soviet policies. However, the peaceful protest turned tragic when Soviet soldiers violently dispersed the crowd, resulting in numerous injures and 21 deaths. The events of that day are known as the April 9 tragedy.

The sacrifices made by those who lost their lives are remembered as a symbol of Georgia's struggle for freedom and sovereignty.

Today is a time for reflection, remembrance, and solidarity as Georgians come together to honor the memory of those who fought for the country's independence and to reaffirm their commitment to the values of freedom, democracy, and national unity.
