On April 30th, an information session took place with the participation of the laboratory department manager and the head of the Clinical Skills and OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) Center. The meeting agenda focused on discussing the operational capabilities of three devices recently procured by the university for educational purposes. Fuat Aydin, a representative from Biomedical Clinical Services and Management, presided over the session.

The devices under review are as follows:

🔹 BeneHeart R12, a 12-channel electrocardiograph device
🔹 Vital Signs Monitor

This state-of-the-art equipment constitutes an essential component of our teaching methodology, utilized across all levels of coursework and integrated into various educational activities throughout the learning process.

🔵 On April 27, BAU International University Batumi held an open day for applicants residing in Batumi and the Adjara region. During the event, students were provided with comprehensive information about the university, including exchange programs, admission regulations and procedures, as well as the experiences of students who have studied abroad through Erasmus and clinical practice opportunities provided by our university.

Moreover, attendees participated in a public lecture on public speaking techniques conducted by Mrs. Tamuna Dilaverova. It is of paramount importance for our educational institution to address the practical needs and expectations of prospective students.

🇬🇪 🇯🇵 On March 7, the event - Japanese Days 2024 was successfully held at BAU International University Batumi.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, His Excellence- Mr. Ishizuka Hideki, who opened the public meeting with a speech. Within the framework of the meeting, the conversation touched on the bilateral relations between Georgia and Japan, and the prospects of involving the students and staff of BAU Batumi International University in international mobility in the direction of the Far East region.

Also, the meeting was attended by the Japanese Culture and Language Center, which organized a cultural-educational corner: a demonstration of traditional Japanese clothing, the specifics of Japanese tea, features of anime culture, and a master class in Japanese handwriting - Hiragana and Katakana. Our university's foreign line - cooperation with institutions in Japan will be a kind of cornerstone for future similar activities.

📣 Elections of Student Self-Governance Delegates.

The BAU International University, Batumi is gearing up for the Elections of Student Self-Governance Delegates, scheduled for March 5, 2024.

This year marks a significant change: delegates will be elected from all programs and study years at the University. The goal is to ensure national and gender diversity among the delegates, as well as a wide range of action proposals.

Active students of BAU are encouraged to participate in the election process and even nominate themselves as delegate candidates.

Candidate Registration Deadline: Candidates aspiring to be elected as delegates must register and upload their election program by February 16th.

Campaigning and Debates: After registration, candidates will have the opportunity to meet with fellow students, present their programs, and engage in debates with other candidates.

Election process: The election will be held on March 5, from 10:00 am to 16:00 pm, through electronic voting on the student individual LMS webpage.

The final list of elected delegates will be published on March 13.

The clinical practice exchange course

🔵 The clinical practice exchange course was successfully implemented - in the Czech Republic. Three students: Tekla Darjania, Magda Danelia and Mamuka Sikharulidze visited the clinics affiliated with the University of West Bohemia for a month and improved their professional competence and skills.

New cooperation agreement

🇮🇹 🇬🇪 We are pleased to announce that a cooperation agreement was signed between BAU International University Batumi and University of Florence (Studi di Firenze) This institution was founded in 1321 in the middle of Europe, in the central part of Italy - in the wake of the Renaissance period. The deepening of relations between Georgia and Italy, especially in the context of the internationalization of education, is the main achievement of our university. BAU International University, Batumi is a newly established teaching university in Georgia, where the three fold mission of education and research is successfully carried out by highly trained academic personnel, latest technologies, laboratories and classrooms. American model educational program meets international standards and is carried out by foreign as well as Georgian professors invited from different educational institutions. The university is located in the same building as a new International University Hospital. The hospital itself has been constructed according to JCI standards and is equipped with up-to-date facilities. This enables us to provide the best education for the medical students, as they will receive clinical experience from the first year of their education.
