We got a lot of pics to post! I am so very,very honoured to be part of this process! The Spartathalon is arguably the toughest race in the world of ultra running 246km through the backcountry of Greece 🇬🇷 with extremely rigorous cut off times not to mention the HEAT 🔥 All this was achieved by hard work and an excellent training plan executed by Even after Aimee's year long injury coach John managed to pull her through some exquisite training blocks that got her across the line and at the feet of Leonidos! THIS IS SPARTA! Other then this how could it be possible without a excellent team of seasoned ultra runners, many of them Spartathaletes! Mario, you are the most amazing friend and runner i know! Without your wisdom and support (and car) this would not have been possible. George, thank you for showing up with your much needed advice and support! Next time chocolate 🍫 and beer 🍻 I promise! , Coach what can i say! You are so loved and so highly respected! You believed when we didnt! No way we could have done this without you ♥ All those that supported us from afar and from nearby and his amazing family who took pictures for us and even ran with us and gave so much love and support! (Andrea you are next my friend!) My family in SC (can't wait to tell you it all when you come to Greece 🇬🇷 this November) and there is no way in hell we're forgetting our sponsors .fishing and the rest of the Amazing Pirie Family! Didn't get much sleep last night and when I woke up my injury was kind of hurting. There was a heat advisor today and the mountain was closed due to fire warning. Guess I'll just stay home.

Gotta give props to 3rd place overall female finish. Extremely relaxed start but the last 8K she started gunning it. I'm still coming off a 2+ year injury so it was a bit challenging to keep up. Last 5K I told Aims I don't want any other women passing us, not really understand places and such. Glad we just pushed through it.

Had a malfunction with my watch and was very quick to resolve the issue. The defective watch was to be recycled and they would send me a new one. The watch arrived, but because I was injured I didn't open it. A little over a year went by and yesterday was the day! Turns out they sent me a free upgrade! A Coros APEX Pro 2! Broke it in good today with a 6 hour activity on the mountain. Many, Many Thanks for making such a great watch but also making it easy for your customers🤗

Weather conditions damn near perfect yesterday (overcast and cool). 21kms w/ 1000m+ in 3:10 just to see what's up. Also got paid to run which was a bonus 💶 🤗💚 Still gotta use poles as crutches but whatever.

Exciting and Tense time! As if qualifying for the wasn't enough you have to get the lottery as well which is against hundreds of athletes around the world! Despite some set backs we continue to try and move forward. Even to get to this point is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT! HUGE! With some healing and excellent coaching from maybe we can pull this off or at least try! Regardless, I wanna take this time to congratulate you you have done absolutely, amazing, super human things! Now let's try and do one more🤞💪💪🙏💙🤍🇬🇷fishing time to tell the lads back home😆🤓

Still don't have a doctors pass to run competitively but showed up to the So glad we did! Blue sky day with perfect conditions for running or cheering others on! Just amazing seeing the legends today and ! What humble guys with unbelievable running credentials! Thank you both for the high 5s and photos! You really made our day😎🤗

Also, big congratulations to on her debut half marathon! Great job and great finishing time! Hope to see you at future races!

And our old friend Stevie who got out there last minute and and crushed another half!

It's almost game time! 21,000 runners this year🤯

We had a chance to participate in the 10K night run which was just amazing! Such energy and all around great vibes! Want to extend a huge congratulations to who completed the 10K at the age of 12 (almost 13). Didn't see many his age out there so mad respect for spending your Saturday night running and not playing video games😁

Congratulations also to the road to recovery has been a long one.

And kudos to
who probably ran the smartest race yet! 🍻

As for the Marathon this year, it's looking like the Kenyans are gonna dominate the field. Just hearing Kenya should put fear in any runners heart😅

Edwin Kiprop Kiptoo aims to break the course record set by Kandie Felix in 2014, which stands at 2.10.37

And on the women's front, Caroline Jepchirchir, also from Kenya, holds a personal best time of 2.26.11

But with distance running g you never know🤔

Well , that was fun and pain free for once. It's been months since I've last run due to the absolutely dreadful injury osteitis p***s which is probably a result of some of the p***c bone being worn away. It's a 6 to 16+ month injury that doesn't allow you to do much.

Been lots and lots of days at the gym (hate the gym) and lots of doctors and test. Only recently have I been able to do baby jogs starting with 15mins and now moving a little past the hour mark as long as: its not every day, on flat soft surfaces and are very slow and meticulous. I think out of all this I miss mountain running the most, other injuries allowed me to at least hike, but not OP.

Anyway, funny to see a new 10K recorded as my 10K use to be 32 minutes🎖😅. It's a process I know. I've cut out the beer entirely and believe this has probably helped with reducing the inflammation quite a bit. If you're injured maybe take some time out on the brewskis 🍻, it could help with the recovery process.

Belated post but that's us😆

Great 5K night run for me and Aims especially after being I Jared for so many months. I'm probably not looking at serious running again for at least 6 to 16 months, but I'll take the baby ones. It was great just to be out there cheering on the other athletes, especially our dearest friend who got us carb'd up with some of her homemade sourdough bread ! Bread as an art form 🎨!

On the way back from the
we had a brief stop in Litochoro to see our beloved Mt. Olympus which unfortunately was covered in clouds. I must say I got a bit nostalgic as it's been a while since of run or even hiked anything remotely close to a mountain or even a hill for that matter. But times are ah changing.

Also had a very chill but amazing birthday filled with friends, plenty of food and some very unique bday cards.

Going away dinner for Nat was amazing with all the classic Greek dishes and a cute but annoying cat that acted more like a dog than a cat.

Thanks to everyone who pulled off a wonderful race and congrats to the new CR holder, that was extremely fast and glad we got to see you run it!

And although it's been some time, we miss you Nat and hurry up and come back so we can eat more bread and run more races!!!!

We can forget the as it is held on our anniversary! Aimee and I thought a good way to kind of celebrate it was to follow and assist where we could from start to finish. Don't worry, more relaxing anniversary loading😆

This was a great opportunity to not only study the course but to see the amazing struggle! What amazing and powerful people! Had some great conversations with elite athletes and their coaches which gave us so much more insight in what we need to do to cross the finish line within the 36 hour cut off😬

Also, a huge bonus was seeing break the course record with a sub 20hr time...it was really unbelievable to see him move so fast for so long!

Another really great part, possibly the best in our opinion, was seeing the first 3 women finishers: who all 3 broke the female course record and Camille coming in 3rd overall! The ladies performance out there was mind blowing to say the least 🤯🤯🤯

Spartathalon this year was truly a historic event in running. We are so honoured we got to see it all!

Congratulations to not only all the runners who finished but to those that were strong enough and brave enough to even get to the starting line, an achievement in and of itself❤️🙌💪

Shout out to coach John and his team! All 5 completed the race! Which really shows you the caliber of training they received and the true grit the runners had in them. Go Team! 💙🤍🇬🇷🙌💪

Could pass up this wonderful sale at our local Never had the time to transition into zero drop shoes because I was always running but with this on going injury now is the time. These will be my running shoes when I get back out there but also got a great deal from OutRun shop on some every day Altras (Escalante). Not sure if this is goodbye to Hoka, guess time will tell. If you're looking for new gear OutRun is having a massive sale on like everything! Best get it before the crowd do😅💙🤍 Thank OutRun again. Love the shop and love your staff🙌❤️
