The Cycling Villages of Crete

We are starting a new project to promote cycling tourism in the smaller villages of Crete island.

Cycling villages are small villages on Crete that are not very touristic. They are famous villages or villages in scenic places from where you can start very nice tours. In these villages, there is at least one good tavern where you can taste the Cretan cuisine and maybe a hotel or room to rent.

Our First Village

Avdou is located at the foothills of the Dikti mountains. This is one of the best villages of Crete for outdoor activities. Here you can find rooms to rent, there are 2 bigger hotels suites and Country Hotel Velani. There are several taverns and an Oil factory to visit. During the summer months, many festivals are organized.
