Who are we?
Carlingford Adventure Centre is the top Activity Centre in Ireland. It provides outdoor pursuits and activity holidays for kids and adults. The ethos of the centre is to offer fun and challenging activities in a safe and friendly environment!
What we do?
We offer activities for both land, sea and sky. We offer packages to family, adult and youth groups which include Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Water trampoline, and etc. Room accommodation is also being offered with well-equipped modern facilities in the heart of Carlingford. Our accommodation options range from Hostel style rooms in the activity centre to Holiday Homes around the town centre.
What will you do?
Lead Instructors must be continually required to make judgements; these judgements are based on knowledge and skills gained through practical experience. Leaders are required to have these abilities in order to choose an activity appropriate for the client who will perform the activity, to supervise the group during the activity and to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Must know the roles and responsibilities associated with leading skypark-based adventurous activities
Creating own organisational policies and procedures (proper harness systems, footwear and safety, and other procedures and policies regarding safety
Identify strengths; areas for improvement in facilities and staffing
Knowledgeable about safety measures for sky activities
Strong knowledge about choosing and using the right equipment
Effective decision making
Good leadership skills
A team leader who is outgoing and proactive
3+ years of experience as a lead instructor in land based activities or any adventure recreational activities

What we do?
We provide adventure activities across land, sea and sky. We offer activity packages to families, adults and youth groups which include rock climbing, water sports, laser combat, zip lining, team building and much more. Packages can include activities, catering and accommodation, provided in our well-equipped modern facilities in the heart of Carlingford.
What will you do?
Senior Instructor for land activities must be responsible to assist in successfully delivering the adventure, ensuring an amazing customer experience, caring for equipment, managing facilities, Health and Safety, administration and engaging other instructors in making sure that everyone is following the advised protocols.
Patrol the course; ensure all participants are safely conducting themselves and assist participants where necessary, carry out emergency drills in accordance with company directives and training, and ensure all landing sites are maintained to the correct standard
Do everything within the standard precautionary measures to minimise customer complaints and maximise satisfaction
Identify strengths; areas for improvement in terms of facilities and staffing
Focus to detail
Ability to work within a diverse community in a fair and ethical manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Familiar with performing different kind of land activities
3+ years of experience as an instructor for adventure and recreational activity sites, customer service and any related experience to outdoor activities

For many years we enjoyed tree top Zipline tour through the forest canopy on the side of the Slieve Foy Mountain 🍃🍂
Due to required tree felling on Slieve Foye, this favorite land activity will be permanently closing.
