On National Tree Week, Doolin2Aran are delighted to announce our new collaboration with local North Clare charity Hometree(link in bio)
Hometree work to establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland, encouraging land regeneration and biodiversity through afforestation, restoration and education.
“We are proud members of the Burren Ecotourism Network, where one of the key goals to is manage our energy usage as sustainably as possible”, says Eugene Garrihy, director. “Diesel will always be our biggest challenge, as there is no alternative fuel for our ships (yet!). We believe that working with Hometree is a tangible way for us to offset some of the negative effects of this fossil fuel.”
But this new partnership is much more than just a carbon-offset initiative. All of the Doolin2Aran staff and Blue Crew will get involved with Hometree in local tree planting, rewilding, teambuilding days, educational workshops and visits to local schools.
Every little helps 🌳

It's that time of the year... #stormeunice has made her presence felt in Doolin! We're all ready for a bit of ciúnas now from Eunice in fairness...
Well, it's that time of the year again, folks... time to rest up and give our ships some well deserved TLC As we entered our 2nd season with Covid restrictions this year, it was hard to know what it would bring. Our aim was to raise the Spirit (excuse the pun) of our passengers after a long winter, with a fun and safe experience, and we are happy to say, mission accomplished - #TheBlueCrew did us proud! We would like to thank all of our passengers for sailing with us this summer - we look forward to having you all on board in 2022. Enjoy the winter!
The perfect end to a perfect day... There's more good weather on the way, folks! Be sure to book ahead to make sure you get your preferred time... #KeepDiscovering #visittheburren #wildatlanticway
