Based in county Sligo, on the northwest coast of Ireland, Discovery Tours operates bespoke charter tours throughout Ireland, North and South.

Whilst we primarily offer educational tours for schools, colleges, under and post graduates, as well as academic enrichment workshops for teachers, we also organize golf and sports tours, family reunions, church tours and parish retreats. Many of our tours programmes provide opportunities to explore cross-cultural understanding as well as literature, history and performing arts. We have been provi

ding charter tours for special interest groups since 1999. These tours are aimed at groups who want to experience something more than the run of the mill tourist package. We pride ourselves in offering a friendly, flexible and customer-focused service that strives to give any group the best tour possible! Since establishment we have worked with may leading educational establishments, mostly from US but also other organizations from Europe. We delight in designing and delivering tours that meet the needs and aspirations of each individual group. As gds continue on tour, today is spent watching the Apprentice Boys at Derry. A few pics for you to catch some of the atmosphere. One tour member remarked the parade seemed more possessing cultural pride and less of anger. An interesting remark, given how Derry has worked hard to be more inclusive than many other places.

Tomorrow, IRA and loyalists and then dialogue with convicted dissidents...

Keith Haines, former history teacher, author and archivist at Campbell College, presents Liam Stone, republican activist and educator, with a copy "Sir Fred Crawford, Carson's Gun-runner", as Discovery Tour's 60th (!!!!) birthday present for Gerry Scullion, secretary, Felons club, Belfast. Crawford was a governor of Campbell and equipped the Ulster Volunteers with weapons to oppose London's imposition of Dublin rule.
