Since October 7th I have been having a really hard time posting here. For me, social@media is a place to post happy events, and everything has just been so heavy and devastating. The war has affected all of us in different ways, and each persons response/way of dealing has been different as well. Some people spend all their time volunteering picking fruit, some went to volunteer in the army, some have been making use of their skill to contribute (therepy, creating art etc) and some are just trying to hold their heads above water. In addition, I lost practically all my work as a tour guide when the war broke out. In trying to figure out what to do, I started to notice all the incredible graffiti that has come out of the war. This graffiti has given people the space to communicate, grieve, express, (start to) heal and most importantly to tell the story of October 7th-one you may not see on the news. At the same time, I started to notice the volunteers coming from abroad in the thousands and was just in awe and decided to start offering them free tours as a spark of gratitude. Here is a taste of the tours that I have been giving.
Thank you @ninamanolson for creating such a beautiful video!
