Odisha has two yogini or Shakti sthals out of eight present all over India. One is at Hirapur and the other is at Ranipur Jharial.
Ministry of Tourism, Bhubaneswar Office organised Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Educational Tour to Applique Village Pipili for Yuva Tourism Club students on 23.02.2024.
Students were informed regarding the history and culture of Applique work done by hand and specially by women artisans at Pipili village. This tour was organised to create awareness about the crafts of Odisha among students.

Incredible India booth has been set up for dissemination of tourist information to Tour Operators attending Odisha Travel Bazaar 2024. India Tourism Bhubaneswar Office successfully completed B2B meetings with 30 Domestic Tour Operators from all over India.

Women artisans gave demonstrations on chour toy making and sea shell craft making. Students tried their hands in learning the basics of crafts making.
The motive behind this Art & Craft workshop was to encourage students from rural areas to learn skills which will help them in future to become entrepreneurs.

On the eve of National Tourism Day 2024, Ministry of Tourism, Bhubaneswar Office organised a Sustainable Tourism Tour to Godibari and Deras Nature Camp at Chandaka WLS on 24.01.2024 for Tourism stakeholders.
Wildlife film was shown at the interpretation centre and the participants visited flora and fauna at Godibari and Deras Nature Camp which is operated by the local community. Various wildlife animals like peacock, fox, deer and elephants were sighted during the jungle safari.
This tour was organised to create awareness and promote sustainable tourism destinations like Eco Tourism sites as sustainable journeys, timeless memories for tourists.
Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India in association with Ministry of Environment inaugurated the Training programme: "Amrit Dharohar" - Strengthening Nature Tourism at Ramsar Sites at Wetland Research & Training Centre, CDA, Chilika, Barkul (Odisha) on 06.01.2024.

Dr.Md. Sabir Hussain, Nodal Officer & Head IITTM, Bhubaneswar informed that the training programme will be conducted for 15 days and the participants will be trained under Alternative Livelihood, Paryatan Navik and also First Aid training.
Total 60 participants will be undergoing the capacity building programme.
On the occasion of National Youth Day 2024, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, Bhubaneswar Office celebrated “Yuva Diwas” on 12th January 2024 at CMC Town Hall, Cuttack for celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. 200 students of Yuva Tourism Clubs of various schools along with Tourism Stakeholders participated in the event.
Shri. Debasish Mahapatra, Secretary, SKAL International, Odisha Chapter and CEO, K7 Holidays Pvt Ltd inaugurated the event with lamp lighting. Ms. Rashmi Sonia Tirkey, Manager, Indiatourism Bhubaneswar informed the audience regarding the motive for creating Yuva Tourism Clubs in school and various activities undertaken by Bhubaneswar office. Shri. Akhil Chandra Rana, Chief Yoga Therapist, Vivekananda Yoga Therapy Research Institute, Bhubaneswar and Faculty, Sikhsha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar demonstrated Yoga postures and Meditation session, Art and Debate competition was also organised during the event followed by a cultural programme. Shri. Jagannath Behera, Tourist Information Officer, coordinated the programme.

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is supporting a group of ten women Tourists who have set out for a 25 day all women trip, known as Tejaswini Jyotirmay Yatra covering a circuit of 24 destinations by travelling approx. 10000 KM by road. The women in the trip are expected to visit important historical and pilgrimage sites. They will convey the message that the country is safe for women travellers, women empowerment, and religious tourism under the initiative “Dekho Apna Desh” and “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav”. During this event a Virtual Yoga Demonstration Session was organized on 21.06.2021 at 10 am. Shri. Ganeswar Gocchikar, International Yoga Guru and TV personality explained the importance of yoga in our life and gave demonstrated yoga posture for well being. Simple breathing techniques were also demonstrated to increase oxygen level during this Covid 19 pandemic. 100 school students from St.Xavier High School, Patia participated in the live session.
