NH 108 that connects Uttarkashi to Rishikesh passes by Harsil and taxis and buses are easily available. Do you know, filmmaker Raj Kapoor shot his famous movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili here more than 35 years ago — in fact, the post office that was featured in the film stands intact even today. Visit Harsil from April to June, and September to October, for the best experience.
