Preliminary Workshops were held at school where learners from Middle school took part in different challenges of varying difficulty levels. We are thrilled to introduce 'Manthan Guest Talks', an exclusive series where we invite speakers from different fields, industries, and professions, to inspire our students on an array of interesting topics. Through this talk series, we aim to give our students exposure to new ideas, experiences, and perspectives beyond what they encounter in their regular curriculum. This exposure can broaden their understanding of various subjects and career paths.

Introducing our first guest speaker , Mr. Sourabh De , a corporate scientist in the Human Clinical Trial Industry, an amateur archaeologist, historian, and a corporate coach. An avid quizzer and global traveler, he has ventured into some of the most inaccessible places on Earth, with his astronomical telescope gear and field notes.

Mr. Sourabh is also finicky about ‘Consistency’ and his second book (How to be The Happiest APE) highlights this belief. He is certain that all one needs is Consistency, for anything good or bad to happen in life. Having lived in 18 cities, the whole world is his home and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is his mantra.

Kindergarten adventures begin! Teachers joyfully greeted the tiny tots, leading them into lively class games and icebreakers, guiding them to form new friendships, singing rhymes, and involving playful dances and activities. Our tiny tots relished a delightful school tour exploring every nook and cranny and shared giggles in the treehouse game. The first days of school are brimming with excitement, games, and blossoming friendships!

The COAP (Community Outreach and Awareness Program) Club of Manthan School Hyderabad, as part of the ISP Changemakers project, took on the responsibility of cleaning the surroundings of Tellapur Lake in Hyderabad, a local water body facing environmental degradation due to garbage accumulation.
Student volunteers, along with teacher volunteers, conducted a thorough cleaning drive around the peripheral areas of the Lake. Garbage and litter were removed, including plastic waste, debris, and other pollutants that had accumulated over time. GHMC also got involved and sent workers to assist the students with the cleaning.

Residents were educated about the harmful effects of improper waste disposal on the environment and water bodies. Dustbins were distributed to approximately 28 families residing near the lake.

We are proud of our students for taking up this wonderful initiative !

Meet Namitha, our alumna from the Class of 2021. Namitha is pursuing a Major in Psychology and Minor in Sociology at GITAM University, Hyderabad. She will be graduating in May and has wonderful memories of her time at Manthan.

Namitha says, "My time at Manthan was one that I will never forget. The faculty were always available for our questions, and they truly cared about us. The effort and time that the teachers put in to ensure that we were prepared and had the best chance to succeed is something that not a lot of teachers do. They kept my parents informed about my progress and supported and helped me through my difficult times. I got opportunities to explore my extracurricular interests like event management through organising and leading events. I have recommended Manthan to many people and will continue to do so. It has helped me reach my goals and has given me chances to make mistakes while helping me figure out how to learn from them and get better. I am very grateful for the teachers at Manthan who have helped me become the person that I am today, and I will always look back at my time at Manthan with joy."

Manthan students, through our collaboration with the International School Partnership (ISP), experienced amazing learning by participating in 4 International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) programmes - ISP Chess Masters, ISP Scientists, ISP Changemakers and ISP Model United Nations (MUN) and have won awards and accolades in them all.

Our ILOS participants were personally congratulated by Mr Philip Rajan, Managing Director, ISP- India, during his recent visit and it was an opportunity for our students to share their individual and team experiences with him.

ILOS runs different programmes for students and covers a wide range of topics and skills and is a transformative journey that connects our students globally, fostering friendships, language proficiency, and crucial skills such as critical thinking and leadership.

Mr Nick Campbell, ISP Global Director of Learning, and Ms Ruchira Ghosh, ISP Regional Director of Learning, visited Manthan to understand the existing teaching and learning strategies and provide guidance on opportunities that can support our students' learning.

The visit included a school tour and meetings with the senior leadership team, staff, and students to discuss collaboration possibilities and implementation of techniques to pursue learning outcomes through a methodical approach. An enriching session on shared ideas for learning with the Senior Leadership Team included insightful discussion around enhancing student learning while providing them a long-lasting experience.

We look forward to such visits and guidance which will enable us to keep giving our students excellent educational opportunities so they can succeed in any area of study.

Goodbyes are always bittersweet, more so when it comes to leaving school life behind and moving to college. But when your juniors do something to ensure that you create some memories that you can leave for posterity and revisit at a later date, the goodbye almost becomes a new beginning!

The Class of 2024 received this surprise from their juniors and members of the Student Council when they got to plant a couple of future trees to be part of the Manthan landscape. This was an emotional farewell for the outgoing batch who are writing their board exams now and will certainly come back soon to see how their trees are doing.

High School students, Daya, Yash and Nishanth finished in the Top 100 of the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2023 in the Vijayawada region. The competition involved approximately 550,000 students from 5,050 schools at the school level, with 8,590 students participating at the national level's second stage. Merit certificates are given to the top 100 students from each CBSE region after successfully completing the second stage.

Excited 8th graders went on a school trip to explore India's diverse cultural tapestry while visiting Chennai, Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry. They explored the varied architecture of temples, churches and monuments in these places which included visiting Krishna's Butter Ball, a massive natural rock balanced precariously on a slope, in Mahabalipuram. Pondicherry was a wonderful mix of quaint French colonial architecture, vibrant markets, charming cafés along with the serene Aurobindo Ashram and the Matrimandir. A visit to Auroville, an experimental township dedicated to human unity and spiritual progress, allowed students to witness a unique community living in harmony with nature. En route to Chennai, they visited Crocodile Bank, and enjoyed themselves at the Queensland Adventure Park. The beaches of Pondicherry and Chennai were perfect spaces to wind down. This trip created a deeper understanding of history, art, and spirituality in the learners who have come back with experiences that broaden their horizons and foster a sense of unity and appreciation for the rich heritage of India. The English teachers of Grade 2 and Grade 3 conducted a puppet show based on 'Chicken Licken' to introduce the 'Playscripts' unit to Grade 3 students. The puppet show demonstrated how puppets can enhance dialogue delivery, motor skills, and storytelling abilities, delighting learners from Grades 1 to 3. It brought favourite characters to life, enabling students to grasp narration, expressiveness, and voice modulation for character portrayal. At Manthan, learners are at the centre of everything we do. Our partnership with ISP will allow our students the chance to explore learning outside of the classroom and connect with other ISP students across the world. They will get additional learning and cultural opportunities and be a part of a wider international community. ISP's International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) will run different ILOS programmes for students and cover a wide range of topics and skills so that there is something for every student, no matter what their passions or interests are.

Learners of Grade 5 did a Hindi Group Activity on the water cycle or Jal Chakra as part of their unit - Ek Boond. They created beautiful posters and presentations to showcase their learning of this natural phenomenon.

Grade 8 - Teachers Day Celebration

It is said that the only thing constant in nature is change. Change, which we all witnessed and adapted to during the current times. Real classrooms changed into virtual ones, our teachers changed their teaching styles, our learners changed their learning patterns. But amongst these plethora of changes, it was so heartening to see that there are some things which never change and one of those was the enthusiasm of our learners in making 5th Sept, 2020, a memorable day for the teachers. Our learners left no stone unturned in recreating the essence of teachers day celebrations in the virtual classrooms. From heartfelt messages to remarkable poems, from song and dance performances to role play skits, from fun activities and brain teasers to hand made cards, the children went all the way to make the teachers feel special. The effort and dedication that the children put was extremely heart warming. The joy and exuberance that followed , cannot be put in words. The extra mile that the learners went to make this day memorable really amazed all of us. The respect and love of pupils is what is most sought after and cherished by the educators. Thank you dear children for the immense love and affection, we all are truly blessed to be a part of your lives. Keep spreading the cheer and positivity!

Grade 8 CBSE Hindi Learners (Team B) - Theatrical extension of the story, Kaamchor Learners used cartoon making techniques in demonstrating their creativity and imagination skills. They have created the images and worked with them. This was an activity undertaken by learners as an extension of their classroom learning in Hindi class. Immense hardwork and perseverance is clearly evident in their presentation.

Grade 8 CBSE Hindi Learners (Team A) - Theatrical extension of the story, Kaamchor Learning a language may not be limited to merely reading and comprehending the text but can rather go beyond to nurture other skills like creativity and imagination. Students had the opportunity to experiment, develop and exhibit their acting, editing, dialogue writing and narrative skills through a video making activity in Hindi. The story laid emphasis on the importance of clear instructions and effective delegation of work, which are necessary for completion of any task.
