An approved centre of C-DIT and BSS under Goverment of Kerala. GiFT cochin offers a wide range of courses in different sectors of film and television. It is also associated with Divine / Goodness Television channels to provide hands on training and placement for its students. GiFT Courses Sound Design & Audio Engineering /1 year / 2 semesters / Eligibility Plus Two Pass This C-DIT approved one year course in sound designing and audio engineering focuses on imparting an in depth hands-on training and gaining knowledge about the intricacies in sound recording, editing, mixing, mastering, installation, acoustics, live events handling etc. The course also includes an add-on course in video editing. Upon successful completion the student would be able to handle a sound recording suite independently and will be well versed in the technical attributions in audio engineering. Cinematography/Videography/3 months This is a short term C-DIT approved course in Videography. The course will begin with an introduction in still photography and its principles. Theory and practical sessions in artificial and natural lighting will help build a thorough base before the more advanced sessions in multi-cam training, camera movement, track and trolley starts. Successful completion of the course will produce a cinematographer with a strong theoretical and practical base. Film/Video Editing / 3 / 6 months Video Editing will mainly teach the mac based Final Cut Pro software (FCP) which is widely used in the industry; Students will grasp the basics of colour grading, latest plugins and filters. Practical sessions in online editing and mixing are also made available for the students Dubbing /3 months The pursuants of this course shall be propelled into interesting and lucrative world of dubbing. The course comprises of sessions in speech therapy to fine tune one’s acoustic abilities. Students will also be briefed on basics of sound recording and in depth sessions in mike techniques, lip sync, dialogue improvisation, character regeneration, tonal variations, voice modulation in stage, radio, tv, films etc would finally result in moulding a theoretically sound dubbing professional. Acting for the Screen / 3 months An inborn talent and desire to act is all it takes to enroll for this course. The course covers Stage acting, dubbing, radio acting, film acting and comparative studies, body language, postures & gestures, Voice modulation and workshops on acting techniques. News Reading & Anchoring / 3 months This high demand course covers basics of acting, presentation & communication skills, how to sit, how to behave, group discussions, interview skills, news delivery and analysis, news reporting, journalistic skills and above all instills a sense of confidence in its students. Professional Make up for Media /3/6 months A highly specialized course with in-depth sessions on understanding faces, character generation, character make up, transformation of artist to character, stage make up, fashion make up, bridal make up, media make up etc. GiFT ing the Feature...
