Maza Maharashtra - Majarashtra Jyotirlingas and Temples
A Maharashtrian Jyotirlinga Yatra is being prepared for the pilgrims of Theerth Yatra in December 2024. If we take the spiritual legacy of Bharat, it will be seen that the contribution of Maharashtra to it was recorded in golden letters. Though the deity most worshiped in Maharashtra is "Vithal", a form of Lord Krishna himself, there are five Jyotirlinga temples here. Even 5 temples are there Maharashtra comprises only three of the 12 Maha Jyotir lingams across India. These Maha Jyotir lingams are Bhim Shankar, Thrambakeshwar, and Grishneshwar. We visit these three temples on this journey and later proceed to Shirdi, a very ancient temple of Saibaba, which holds a central place in the spiritual tradition of Maharashtra. It is believed that no pilgrimage to this land is complete without a visit to Shirdi. Next comes Shani Sighnapur. Shani Sighnapur is the village of Lord Shani. Nobody keeps anything locked up here. Houses don't even have doors. No one can steal anything from this village. This temple has such a powerful and living deity. The Ajanta Ellora Caves and the incredible rock-carved Kailasanatha Temple in Aurangabad are steeped in centuries of tradition and also a crowning example of the architectural grandeur of ancient Bharat. If you witness this mesmerizing architectural marvel then this yatra will become an experience that fills the minds and eyes of travelers. This yatra starts from Pune on 2024 December 21st and ends also in Pune on December 25th. Those who are in Mumbai and wish to join this trip can join the bus leaving for Pune on the 9th early morning and also come back to Mumbai in the same way without any additional expenses.
