Army Jawans tie Rakhis today --
See the time-stamp on photos.. ☺️
On our recent 15th August Ladakh tour, myself & our tour guests have tied the Rakhis to soldiers present at that time at different Army Camps.
We had kept some Rakhis with them & I had requested them to get the Rakhis tied to other soldiers today, the Rakshabandhan Day.
The boxes were full of Rakhis and Love !
And WoW..

They have done it..💞
I have been very lucky to get this opportunity every year for the last 10 years..
I have arranged to send them the Rakhis even in 2020 Lock down Rakshabandhan.. And that year I had received a phone call from one of the Army personnel saying that, " यह साल भी हमारी कलाईया खाली नहीं रही | " .. And that was very touching !
From last 3 - 4 years we have been receiving Rakhis made by school children of IES Bandra, IES Charkop, IES Dombivali and organisations like Rotary Club & one senior citizen lady from Vile Parle East.
Feeling very emotional & Extremely Happy..😌🥰

ईशान्य भारत.. आपण त्याला Seven Sisters म्हणजे सप्त भगिनी म्हणूनही ओळखतो.. ती सात राज्य म्हणजे असाम, अरुणाचल, मेघालय, नागालँड, मणिपूर, त्रिपुरा आणि मिझोराम..त्यात आठव्या राज्याचा म्हणजेच सिक्कीमचा समावेश झाला आहे..म्हणून त्याचे नवीन नामकरण 'अष्ट लक्ष्मी' असे केले आहे.. आपल्या भारताचा नितांत सुंदर , निसर्गाच्या विविध रंगांची उधळण केलेला भाग.. बरीच वर्षे दुर्लक्षित राहिलेला प्रदेश..आपण हा सगळा एकाच टूर मध्ये बघायचा ठरवला तर तो प्रवास खूप दिवसांचा, थकवा आणणारा होतो आणि कुठल्याच प्रदेशाला नीट न्याय दिला नाही असे वाटते.. त्यामुळे हा प्रदेश आपण दोन ते तीन भागात विभागून बघितला तर उत्तम.. सगळ्यांनी विदेशात फिरण्याबरोबरच भारताच्या ह्या भागाला आयुष्यात किमान एकदा तरी भेट द्यायलाच हवी.. काय मग येतायं आमच्याबरोबर मेघालय, अरुणाचल आणि असामच्या रंगात रंगायला??

एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव..
रौद्र सौंदर्याने नटलेला अफाट सुरेख भुप्रदेश.हि भूमी जितकी राकट तितकेच तिथले लोक मात्र अतिशय मृदू स्वभावाचे आहेत..अतिशय अगत्यशिल आणि हस-या चेहऱ्याने ते आपले स्वागत करतात.अत्यंत उंचीवर वसलेला हा भूभाग आपल्या शारीरिक क्षमतेची कसोटी पहाणारा असल्यामुळे तब्येत साथ देत असे पर्यंत लडाखला भेट द्यावी.असं म्हणतात तिबेट आणि लडाखचा भुप्रदेश म्हणजेच स्वर्गच..जो अती उंचीवर असल्यामुळे अजिंक्य होता.काही कोटी वर्षांमधे तीन वेळा जमिनीच्या अंतर्गत उलथापालथीमुळे त्यांची उंची जास्त वाढली..!
लडाखला जाऊन नुसते भोज्जा करुन येण्यात काहीच मजा नाही.इतक्या लांब जाऊन घाईघाईत बघण्यापेक्षा
दोन - तीन दिवस जास्त वेळ काढूनच हा प्रदेश बघायला हवा.कारण अशा ठिकाणी काही आपण ( शक्यतो ) परत परत जाऊ शकत नाही किंवा जात नाही.. म्हणूनच आमच्या लडाखच्या टूर्स ह्या ९ - १० दिवसांच्या असतात.या टूर्सची सुरूवात आपण श्रीनगर पासून करतो..कारण आपण जेव्हा हळूहळू उंचीवर जातो तेव्हा आपले शरीर त्या विरळ हवामानाला आणि तिथल्या तापमानाला जुळवून घेऊ शकते..तसेच अतिशय सुंदर असा झोजी ला ( पास ) ही अनुभवू शकतो..!
आपण आपल्या या सहलीत
कारगिल ,धा-हानू या सारखी ब्रोक्पा लोकांची आर्यन गांवे , लेह चे संपूर्ण Sightseeing ,अल्ची ,लामायुरु ,थिकसे , हेमिस, दिस्कित यांसारख्या
मोनॕस्टरीज बघू शकतो.ज्या एकमेकांपेक्षा पूर्णतः वेगळ्या आहेत.तुरतूक ह्या निसर्गसंपन्न ठिकाणी (थांग सह) आपला मुक्काम असतो.येथिल जर्दाळू प्रसिध्द आहेत.हे ठिकाण पाकिस्तान बॉर्डर वरचे शेवटचे गांव आहे.त्याच बरोबर नुब्रा व्हॕली, हुंदर..जे Double Hump उंटांसाठी प्रसिध्द आहे.शिवाय शेय पॕलेस, रँचो स्कूल(Three Idiot Fame), शांती स्तूप ,Hall of Fame आणि खूप काही..जगातील नंबर १ वर असलेला सर्वोच्च असा मोटार रस्ता असलेला खारदुंगला पास , चांग ला आणि स्वर्गीय सौंदर्य असलेला पँगाँग लेक बघून तुम्ही नक्कीच खूष व्हाल.
सगळ्यात महत्वाचे म्हणजे आपल्या इंडियन आर्मी कँप्सना भेट देऊन तिथल्या आपल्या बहाद्दूर जवानांशी गप्पा मारता येतील , तसेच
त्यांच्यासाठी आणलेला खाऊ त्यांना देताना आपल्या सगळ्यांना जो आनंद आणि मानसिक समाधान मिळेल तो आपल्या सहलीतल्या आनंदाचा सर्वोच्च क्षण असेल...!!
